Let me first start by saying I use to love this store AT FIRST. I moved in the neighborhood a few years back and I have been going there ever since. But until recently last Monday me and my girlfriend went there to get me some things for my cold one of the women that work at the cash register kept staring at us the whole time and honestly I didn't know until my girlfriend said something but i didn't think nothing of it because I'm sayin to myself they know me I'm in there all the time so we bought our things and left and that was that. Then this past Saturday I went there to take take my cans back and get groceries the SAME GIRL at the register turned around and watch me the whole time as I was putting the cans in the machine which made me feel real uncomfortable so I just ignored her. But after that I started to shop, so the same women literally followed me around the whole store down EVERY AISLE😡. Every time I turned around there she was I new I wasn't tripping because every time I turned around there she was starting at me making it one of the worst shopping experience I ever had. I'm not blaming the company but I will say they lost a valuable customer. I use to loved this store I told my friends and family about the store all the time and they even started to go but until that situation we will not come back. I usually ignore situations like that but this was a first for me and I...
Read moreHave spent thousands of dollars here since moving to Madison Heights in October 2022. At first, we were absolutely thrilled to have a nice small grocery store near us that had a great quality selection. We were fine with their prices being a bit more than normal, because we like to support local. Our first bad experience was attempting to return bad smelly discolored salmon from their frozen section. We took pictures of the bad product, showed it to a worker in Deli, only for her to argue with us then call (as what we're assuming the owner or the manager), for him to defend the product and tell us nothing was wrong (after finally giving us credit in their store). Since then, we've continued to shop here for convenience and non-bulk items. We've bought multiple loafs of bread that molded after only a few days of purchase, along with multiple purchases of "Fresh Sliced" deli meat that turned slimey and tasted off after only a few days after purchase as well, and multiple cheese/vegi/fruit purchases that molded weeks before the Sell by date. We will no longer spend any money here, and will go to Kroger or Aldi for similar purchases. We've shopped here 20-30 times since moving, and only 5-6 bad experiences, but that's a large enough percentage to never come here or recommend this place again. The hassle for a refund is not worth it, as well as second guessing...
Read moreSadly, I have to write this poor review. The customer service at check out was terrible and I felt disrespected on my visit yesterday evening. The two check out lanes had no one in line & I clearly interrupted a conversation between the two clerks. But it’s okay because they continued the conversation while they scanned & bagged my items. The words smelled awful and a few other choice words were used between them. Not something you want to talk about around food. Then they didn’t ask if I wanted paper or plastic they just shoved it in a plastic bag. I asked them for paper & they looked thoroughly annoyed. No eye contact from them, no have a nice day, no smiles. They clearly looked like they wanted to go home. My assumption is that they were probably talking about me after I left. To which I say, I won’t be returning anytime soon. Which is unfortunate because the people stocking & the deli counter clerks were overly kind and helpful. And that’s what I normally appreciated about your store. Maybe it’s best to get self check out to avoid these pain points or maybe you can ask your staff to be kind, have some manners, & remind them they’re in...
