It took a long time to get an appointment. Finally got in and The doctor was really helpful and nice. I was told that I would need an MRI and they would call me to schedule. I waited about a week and never heard from anyone so I called them to see what was going on. I was told that my note was not completed because the doctor lost his dad shortly after my appointment I said OK could someone else fill out my note so I could get this MRI scheduled. The nurse Melanie got snappy with me and said “No! I’m not a doctor”. So eventually it was filled out, but I still did not hear anything so I called back to find out that my insurance had denied the MRI. I called my insurance company and they told me that it would be covered so I called Melanie back and she told me that what I told her the insurance company said was not true. I told her to not call me a liar. She said that a peer to peer appointment would need to be done, but that they did not have to do that if they did that it would be a favor to me. So I asked her when that could be done and she said I will try to get to it sometime next week. Mind you I am in a lot of pain. I explained how my pain was getting worse and asked if I could go to the Er for an mri. She stated yes. So I went to the ER and got an MRI done and now she says that they cannot read that MRI because it wasn’t done there in office. I got hurt August 7th , my appointment with them was September 7th and it’s September 28th and they refuse to help me so I emailed them and told them to forget it and I am having my doctor refer me somewhere else. I would...
Read moreDr stahl is the worst non caring Dr I've ever came across. The entire time you're on a Dr visit his face is In a laptop. One visit particular I was getting a "so called" full physical and he didn't do half of what he was supposed to do & in the middle of it a nurse or assistant came in my room in a panic because another patients blood pressure was at stroke levels. After the nurse left Dr stahl leaned over against the wall sitting in his chair and held his belly laughing hysterically. I found NOTHING funny about it. On other visits I heard the entire staff quote a patients name and was speaking for anyone to hear that he did not have his meds in his system after a drug test. Unprofessional in my opinion. Then I got deathly ill and went to the emergency room in Shelbyville twice as I live in Shelbyville and was bed ridden for 3 weeks waiting to get in to see Dr stahl well in the 3 weeks being bed ridden I didn't feel the need for my anxiety med which is the lowest milligram you can get of valium prescribed by Valle Vista hospital NOT Stahl originally. Anyway I have told Dr stahl I have been experiencing symptoms of dementia for sometime now so anyway I couldn't remember the last time I took that med so he completely cut me off of those AND my testosterone injections. My opinion of this so called Dr is that his priorities are not set with patient care in the least & I seriously believe that the true reason he cut my meds was because that appointment I spoke of some really obese people I know & he was offended because his...
Read moreUpdate on 8/20/25: Went to a wellness visit. Asked a few questions about a concern. Apparently that makes it a visit that requires a co-pay and will no longer be billed as a wellness visit with $0 copay. No one in the office informed me of that so now we have unexpected charges for our 2 wellness visits. So, so disappointed because Leah Freeman is spectacular!! Unfortunately, we will be changing practitioners because of this incident and the many months of them billing the incorrect insurance despite giving them our current insurance card at each visit. Now we will be driving out of town for our health care.
The staff was very caring. Unfortunately, Rush Memorial is unreasonably priced on several services I needed. I saved $2,500 by getting an MRI in the next town over. I paid the same amount for 3 x-rays at RMH as I did for that MRI at the reasonably price place. I realize that different places charge different amounts, but I can’t wrap my head around a $2,500 difference for an MRI. On a separate occasion, it took 3 calls to billing to get them to submit to our new insurance rather than the old insurance. Disappointed that I have to go out of town to be able to...
