Chocolat Café — Restaurant in Rushville

Had an amazing stay here with my wife on the way back to Lexington yesterday. Dustin and Mai, the owners, were amazingly hospitable from the start, greeting us at our room with handmade sweets and staying around to chat and show us the ins and outs of our newly renovated and amazing room. It seems that each room on site is unique, with its own style. Ours was the London Suite, and it featured a Jacuzzi tub and a beautiful tiled shower. The bed was large and comfortable and the wifi and big screen TV were perfect for us to sit down and relax with.

Things got even better after a good night's sleep as we woke up to a wonderful breakfast that featured drinks and pastries from their on-site cafe. Everything is fresh and hand-made, Dustin even makes their chocolate straight from the cocoa bean right there in the kitchen. Mai's pastries and scones are equally amazing. As for the drinks, the coffee and tea were great, but I also recommend their "Hot 8", a hot Ale-8-One drink that is way better than I ever expected.

If you are just looking for a unique bed and breakfast in Eastern Kentucky, or somewhere to stay on your way to and from the fun and beautiful Red River Gorge/Natural Bridge area, definitely make the effort to come a few miles down highway 11 to enjoy these wonderful rooms, pastries, and chocolates. Even if you can't stay, the sweet treats and drinks make a quick stop at the cafe more than worth it!

Two friends, my husband and I stayed at the Chocolat Inn and Cafe Tuesday night. We had the London room and the Paris room. Both rooms were emmaculately clean and beautifully decorated. Trendy and fun, and very luxurious with a jacuzzi tub in each bathroom. The rooms were decorated with the London and Paris theme to the tee. We enjoyed sitting on the back deck and watching Amazon and Netflix later on that night on the large flat tv screen in our rooms. The next morning we enjoyed a delicious breakfast of spinach and ham quiche, yogurt with granola and fresh fruit on top, and a huge muffin of our choice from several different types. The coffee is roasted there at the Inn and is delicious!!! The owners are very friendly and accommodating!! The beautiful Red River Gorge is only 20 minutes away. My wife and I were looking for a weekend getaway and the Chocolat Inn is the perfect place. Dustin and Mai are incredibly accommodating. Each morning you wake up to a home cooked breakfast from Mai along with a pastry of your choice and a coffee of choice from Dustin. I highly recommend trying the Mayan Mocha. It is spicy and delicious. As well as are all of the pastries. The cheese cake is a must try.

There is plenty to do around the area. You have to go to the Natural Bridge State Park of course, but also check out Flat Lick Falls. For food, La Cabana Mexican restaurant was delicious and Hop's has live music and a wide selection of beer choices. We received plenty of recommendations from Dustin about things to do and that helped us a lot with planning out our days.
