My friend and I often bring our autistic children to Enchanted because they have felt welcoming in the past. We are both teachers and keep a close eye on our children because they are severely disabled. After we had played for around 3.5 hours I was approached by my son, daughter, and an employee of Enchanted. My daughter was sobbing and my son’s face was white like he was scared. The employee rudely told me my son had “hurt this little girl.” I let her know that they were both my children and she walked away. I asked my daughter why she was crying and she told me it wasn’t because she got hurt, it was because “that lady yelled at Nico (my autistic child) super super bad.” I walked up to the front with both of them and told her what my daughter said and asked if she had yelled at my minimally verbal child. Her immediate response was to say that parents had complained about him and that she didn’t know where I was. I was very confused by this because I had been watching him closely the entire time. If there had been an issue I either would have seen or one of my other children would have told me. I found her response to be incredibly offensive. She framed my son as a bad kid rather than apologizing for overreacting in her response. She did end up apologizing but it felt very disingenuous. I asked what the policy is when a child gets hurt or is having behavioral issues and she stated that she “didn’t know where his mom was.” Her tone implied that I was not properly supervising my child which is not only untrue but also very unprofessional to try and shift the blame for her actions onto me. My children and I all left upset. I also spent over $60 on admission and snacks on one of the worst outings I’ve ever had as a parent.

Every parent with a severely special needs child fears going out in public and being judged. I left enchanted in tears and honestly was up half the night upset for my son and the way that woman scared and judged him.

So I went to book online for a party and I thought I booked for Saturday at a decent time they then called me and said our website is messed up we only have a opening Saturday in natomas didn’t show any sympathy or anything I really wanted my babies party there so I was forced to book 7 pm I asked for accommodation because it was there fault I booked the wrong day the lady then says well if everybody doesn’t show up for the party we will refund u partial my aunty wanted to ask if the deal still stands because who’s going to take there kid out in the cold at 7pm so bad customer servive There I was late getting to the party dealing with a one year old is not easy and right when I walk through the door it’s a harsh smell of chemicals of some sort to where my niece threw up I threw up my boyfriend and other kids at the party I couldn’t even enjoy having a good party the smell sat me down I was sick the whole time I’m niece couldn’t even make it to the bathroom AND as the kids were playing you can tell it was some type of ANIMOSITY BECAUSE WE WERE BLACK BEC WHO SPRAYS CHEMICALS WHILE KIDS ARE PLAYING EVERYONE AT THE PARTY WAS VERY UPSET SBOUT IT I GOT MULTIPLE CALLS SO I WAITED A DAY TO CALL AND COMPLAINED THE OWNER GETS ON THE PHONE AND SAY WERE NOT GIVING NO REFUND WHAT DO YOU WANT TO COMPLAIN ABOUT NOBODY COMING TO YOUR PARTY AND YOU BEING LATE I THEN TOLD HER DONT PUSH IT BECAUSE I AM TALKIN ABOUT THE WELL BEING OF KIDS AND IF YOU WANT TO BE CARELESS IT WILL GET UGLY TO ILL BE DISPUTING AND LOOKING FOR LEGAL ASSISTANCE I WAS DISCRIMINATED OF COLOR DONT BRING YOUR KIDS HERE DECOR...
