L&L Hawaiian Barbecue — Restaurant in Sacramento

First time at this location came in and seen no customers inside. This L&L might has to be the best one in Sacramento area. I'm only saying this is because how the chicken was cooked. First look at it and I was like it looks like it has no seasoning or anything but it was marinated very well and they said that they marinate their chicken pretty long too. It was cooked very perfectly as well like there wasn't no black residue bbq markings from the grill on the chicken like how other places have it from the front and backside of the chicken. After I finished my meal I had to give them a 5 dollar tip because of how good the chicken was perfectly cooked and looked. The front counter lady looked very genuinely happy when I told them about how good the chicken was. I would not mind coming back here again if I want some good grilled chicken with rice I rate this place a 9.5/10! I was really excited for this place and had it for the first time a few days ago. I got a mixed seafood place (fish, shrimp, beef short ribs), chicken katsu, and spam musubi.

The shrimp was raw and the fish was white on the outside but then pink on the inside. I wish I took a photo but i threw it away so fast.

The bbq beef was good, rice good, and mac salad was fine. I wish i had some extra sauce for the rice but and beef but i only got the katsu sauce for the chicken. When i asked if there was sauce in the bag they said yes, but maybe i should have been more specific.

The wait took a really long time and there was only one person ahead of me who had placed a pick up order, i waited about 20/25 mins to get my food. But the fact that there was no one in front of me was frustrating.

Place was clean, nice size, customer service was ok. But might just come by for musubi or...

Terrible customer service. I showed up 25-30 mins before closing at 9. The young lady in the front didn’t say hello or welcome in but made sure to let me know they stop taking order almost 30mins before closing. Since when does L&L do that?!?! Super rude I asked when do they stop taking orders and she looked at the clock and said 1 minute ago…gtfoh. Sucks because L&L is always super nice besides this location, they give the brand a bad reputation. I took my business to I Love Teriyaki down the street. Way better food anyways.
