The things I love the best about this place most of you won't even notice. If you read the artwork on the walls you will realize effort upon effort to rebuild the park tragedy after tragedy. Inside the rose garden area is a rock memorial that gives gratitude for "All who have served" not just men and women. I appreciate the builders having the insight to consider all lives including the animals who have served and fought during wartime. Thank you!!! A person at the park told me that someone may have stolen my chicken, yes, a chicken. She and i were enjoying the park together. I have signs posted and made a police report. I will ask for surveillance video tape to get the license plate of vehicle. If you know of anyone who recently acquired a red/orange female chicken please contact me to let me know...

Nice park! Went to see Pops in the Park with the group Latin Touch! Very good!

Also had huge area where people could buy hamburgers, cheeseburgers, & hot dogs from Kiwanis -- well-cooked burger & cheese, but bun, onions, sweet pickles, dill pickles were just room temperature sides.

Same huge area allowed beer & wine from Hoppy Brewery, now newly moved from East Sac to Old Sac -- but we didn't buy any.

Whole thing was in sunshine from 5 PM start until about sunset at 7:45 PM.

They need to move it so the band is in the shade, the dance floor is on paved surface, and the crowd can see the band, but be shaded from the Sun. Duh!

Otherwise, still worth it -- free parking, free access, free & clean porta-potty's, & great entertainment, & good...

Very nice community park. 3 playgrounds. The one in front has an area within the big playground for little littles.. then for the bigger littles all fenced in with only 2 points of exit both pretty close to each other. 1 further out with some for bigger littles.

Restrooms are available.. there is a picnic area you can reserve with a bbq available.

Nice rose garden to walk thru.

Nice open areas throughout the park to relax on the grass.

There is a baseball field, basketball courts and a soccer field setup.

Library is always well maintained and staffed well.

Community center has lots of activities available just go in and ask for a...

Our visit here was really nice, my daughters loved the awesome Castle Style park structure and the play ground was really nice especially if your kiddo was to fall down. We really enjoyed the structure and that there are canopies to keep everyone cool during these Hot days! Overall great park, has bathrooms, fountains, and plenty of room to run around only bad part I noticed was the sitting area is being destroyed by locals or teens because the poles go past the edging and makes it very easy for them to be bent and then broken off as a weapon or could be left where a child could hurt someone with it.

City of Sacramento event with me showing Saturday love to my friends who had that Kodak moment of excitement to be able to take apart of this wonderful event displaying their art and also playing on stage as one of the main music event bands. Art: Ark Thou Blessed Art 🙏 🎨 Music: Pickles and Chips 🥒🍟 Video/Graphic: #iambeauteymafia 🌹

This park does "Free" live concerts that all you do is being a friend or a group or just yourself and bring a chair to relax with a cold one from your ice chest or the vendors that are there to help you unwind. Worth going. Wish summer didn't have to end.
