I am displeased with the Lack of Customer Service Skills from the worker named Jyoti at Skips Fish & Chicken. I ordered a combo on 06/17/2024 around 1:30PM with just meat and cheese only. I didn’t want any extras, like Mayonnaise , etc as I am allergic to Mayo; and I did inform her of this. When I received my sandwich, I saw that there was Mayonnaise on it, so I let Jyoti know that I would need my sandwich remade due my allergies. Jyoti then began to argue that I didn’t mention that I didn’t want Mayo. I reminded her that I said meat & cheese only. She then told me that she couldn’t remake the sandwich because I didn’t say that I didn’t want Mayo on it… I reminded her of my allergies to Mayonnaise and she wasn’t listening to me. She began arguing with me about what I said, and rolled her eyes when I told her that I am done talking with her because she wasn’t listening to me. I asked to speak to her manager and she kept trying to tell me she wouldn’t replace it or give me a refund due to their “No Refund Policy”, she kept trying to remind me of what she thought “I told her” and let her know that that was fine, I just wanted to talk to her manager. She went to call somebody from the back. A guy came to the front who claimed to be the “owner” of Skips Fish & Chicken. He was argumentative with me as well when I informed him that Jyoti was being rude towards me. He said that “it just sounds that way because English is her second language”, and I let him know that I didn’t mention anything about her tone of voice. She rolled her eyes and refused to replace the order that wasn’t made correctly, and was argumentative with me about what she THINKS I said. I asked him for his District Sales Manager’s number, or higher ups phone number and he said that nobody else is above him, as he is the owner.. He kept going back and forth and arguing with me acting like he wasn’t going to replace the food or even give me a refund until I asked him for both of their names so I can leave a review online. He didn’t tell me either of their names, but I had the servers/cashiers name from the receipt she gave me and he finally gave me a refund so I took my refund and left. Worst customer service EVER. I am never coming back here again and wouldn’t recommend anybody come...
Read moreLiterally the worst ordering experience I have ever had. They got both sandwiches wrong and did not give me the fries I ordered. When we called to ask for the correct sandwiches, we were told that we ORDERED wrong. I ordered the Nashville Chicken Sandwich which states on their website "Chicken dunk'd in bbq sauce and topped with coleslaw". Instead I got a chicken sandwich with lettuce and buffalo sauce. Which matches their hot chicken sandwich. Was told they do not have a sandwiched dunked in any sauce. While on the phone, asking for a refund, my partner was NOT put on hold and got to hear the one who answered the phone say to the manager that she was annoying and asking for free stuff. We were told to come in to the store TOMORROW because there was no one there able to issue refunds. This is unacceptable. Do not buy from this place.
Edit (01Feb2022): We got ahold of the manager the next day, who actually apologized (unlike the people we dealt with the night before) and provided a refund on our order. It also turns out that this place has different menus at their different locations, but use the same sandwich names. The Watt Ave location has a Nashville chicken sandwich (what I ordered) and this location has the Nashville Hot chicken sandwich; which is what they claimed they gave me. The sandwich I received still did not match this locations' menu, but was much closer to it (lettuce instead of coleslaw). I cannot even begin to imagine why a company would think it is acceptable to provide different menus at different locations with the same sandwich names and allow you to order 1 locations' sandwiches from the other location... Read moreHonestly, I'm VERY disappointed, about a year ago when "Moe" was managing the place under the previous ownership the service and food was EXCELLENT! I went there today and it seemed like it's under new ownership, the vibe was not as it was but my biggest complaint is about the FOOD. Ordered the Nashville spicy combo with fries and a drink. The food took long as usual but when it came out the batter on the chicken was EXTREMELY salty and the fries were hot on the outside and cold on the inside and very stale. I brought it to the ladies attention who I'm assuming is the new owner and she was helpful but she came out from the back and contradicted my claim of the salt and said "there is no salt". Absolutely false claim. My 7 year old son was squinting his eyes and complaining after 2 bites. I ended up getting replaced with 3 pieces of fish that was OK but nothing to talk about.
