Grocery Outlet — Local services in Sacramento

I would absolutely recommend this Grocery Outlet! I was assisted in the store 🏬 n a very helpful way. I shop at grocery outlets for certain products I know I can get a good deal on from previous shopping trips. This trip I went a bit overboard than I usually do and spent $130, when usually I get a handful of products. For some reason I found a lot of deals this day. I also felt super represented because it was a store of Black employees and they were very helpful and cheerful. During the bagging process of what I purchased, one of my candles didn’t get put in my bag. I gave the store a call and I wasn’t sure how they would handle it since I live a pretty far distance away. I found out the lady I was speaking to was the owner of the store. When I mentioned I live in El Dorado Hills, she mentioned she did too and she would bring it by. I recently had a scam block out on my phone that doesn’t work right and so it kept blocking her phone call from me, but she didn’t give up she kept trying and even came over one day and called me and even though it blocked the call I decided to call and see who it was and it was her outside my house with my candle after trying multiple times to deliver it to no avail. I really appreciate this type of detailed customer service and going beyond the call of duty, especially since customer service seems to be lost on 90% of businesses today! Disappointed by unprofessional behavior during checkout. I hope management addresses this.

I usually don’t leave reviews, but I’ve had two uncomfortable experiences at this Grocery Outlet location. A month ago, a cashier made unnecessary comments about the food I was purchasing, which felt unprofessional. I called to share my concern with management at the time.

When I returned recently, the cashier who was ringing me up was interrupted mid transaction by another employee with a clipboard. They began talking during my checkout, and I never received my receipt. It felt like I wasn’t being taken seriously as a customer.

Honestly, it also made me wonder if my appearance or who I am influenced how I was treated because I can’t help but feel that if I were someone else, this wouldn’t have happened.

Edit: there is potato salad and shelves seem full. --One of the better grocery outlets. Hope it can stay clean and organized. The area really needs this. Prepared/frozen is pretty meat heavy but with some vegetarian mock meats and meals as well. As a vegetarian, I'd love even more options. Some personal care, gel pens and stuff for kids.
