Namaste Sacramandu is our go-to spot for Indian food. We eat in and order takeout all the time, and it's always good. We've shared it with so many family members and everyone always says the same thing:it's amazing. My brother-in-law had never tried Indian food before, and this place his first experience. He loved it so much it's now the standard he uses to judge all other Indian restaurants. Some of our favorite dishes are the mango lassi, momos, butter chicken, vindaloo, kadhai, and garlic naan. They offer a great variety of proteins like chicken, shrimp, lamb, goat, and salmon, and everything is always cooked perfectly. We've also been told they use organic spices, which shows in the flavor. The inside of the restaurant isn't super romantic or fancy. It's simple and not particularly aesthetic but it's always clean and comfortable, which we appreciate. Highly recommend this place if you want Indian food that's consistently delicious with great service and a laid back vibe.

This is truly some of the best Nepali food I have ever had. The flavor was complex and well-balanced. The waitress mentioned they use all organic spices, and that must have something to do with why the flavors are so full and mouthwatering. I have had momos many times as I have friends who are from Nepal and owned a Nepali restaurant, but I never had them in a sauce before. I still prefer without the sauce, but I enjoyed and appreciated the options. And the momos in sauce were certainly scrumptious and like comfort food with the sauce spooned over the perfectly cooked rice. My chai was very good as well. I look forward to returning again and again. As a side note I appreciated that they have a ton of shade so nobody is stuck sitting in the direct sunlight. It was a very pleasant experience.

Delicious food, friendly service, quiet atmosphere. We had Nepali lamb curry, potato curry, garlic naan, samosa and momos. All delicious and served quickly. Momos more interesting than many spots. Samosa - fab. And at the end - a unique dessert of gajar halwa (carrot pudding) topped with mango ice cream … on a bed of cabbage on a sizzling platter! That was a first. Yum! We will return.

A Heartfelt Shout-Out to Sacramandu and the Incredible Muna

This was my fifth visit to Sacramandu, the most beautiful and authentic Nepali restaurant in Sacramento California and every time I come here, it just gets better. The aroma alone pulled me back in, and this time, I visited with my Jumbo team of 18 people. Everyone in the group absolutely loved the food!

Let me tell you their Jhol Momo is unmatched. The flavor is on another level. The creamy peanut base, the crunch of dry soybeans, and the richness from sesame seeds all together, they bring the momo to life. It’s a flavor explosion I haven’t found anywhere else in USA.

But beyond the amazing food, what makes Sacramandu truly special is Muna, the heart and soul of the place. Every time I visit, she makes us feel welcomed and cared for. During this visit, I noticed guests at the next table chatting with her, laughing, and soaking up her positive, joyful energy. As people finished their meals, I saw multiple guests hugging her and wishing her continued success a true sign of the impact she has.

Muna deserves a shout out as one of the best women entrepreneurs in California. Her down-to earth attitude, infectious positivity, and deep appreciation for her team are incredibly inspiring. She doesn’t just run a restaurant she builds a community.

What really touched me was how Muna gives credit to every team member. I asked to meet the chef, and without hesitation, she brought him out. Chef Yogya was kind, humble, and clearly passionate about his craft. Watching the two of them, it was clear: this business isn’t just about making money. It’s about kindness, energy, teamwork, and uplifting others.

Even during a packed weekend rush, Muna was out there with a water jug in hand, making sure every guest was taken care of spreading smiles, ensuring service, and keeping the vibe high.

To anyone dreaming of being a great entrepreneur: go talk to Muna. She will inspire you, support you, and show you what real leadership looks like.

Thank you, Muna and the entire Sacramandu team, for being a shining example to young people, future leaders, and the entire Sacramento community.

This was my third visit to Namaste Sacramandu, and once again, they did not disappoint. Every time I come here, I’m reminded why this is one of my favorite spots in Sacramento.

The food is always fresh, flavorful, and deeply comforting—just like a home-cooked meal. The momo are consistently top-notch: juicy, well-seasoned, and served with that addictive achar sauce. This time, I tried the goat curry thali and was seriously impressed by how tender and rich the flavors were. Each side dish on the thali complements the main dish perfectly, creating a full experience in every bite.

What really stands out is the hospitality. The staff remember returning faces and always greet you with genuine warmth. You can tell they care not just about serving food, but about sharing Nepali culture with the community.

If you're looking for a place that delivers quality and consistency with heart, Namaste Sacramandu is it. I’ll be coming back again and again—this place is...

Title: A Royal Feast at Sacramandu: Shahi Paneer Like No Other

Rating: ★★★★★ 5/5

My recent dining experience at Sacramandu was nothing short of exceptional, highlighted by a signature Indian dish, Shahi Paneer, that exceeded all expectations.

From the first morsel, it was evident that Sacramandu takes its culinary craft seriously. The Shahi Paneer was an explosion of sublime flavors, a well-orchestrated medley that left an unforgettable imprint on my palate. The creamy, tomato-based sauce, enveloping the tender paneer, provided the perfect balance of richness and tanginess. Moreover, the dish was exquisitely spiced – a testament to the skilled hands behind Sacramandu's kitchen doors.

The paneer, a fundamental element of the dish, was beautifully cooked. It was soft and succulent, absorbing the intricate flavors of the sauce while preserving its unique essence. The resulting texture was a delightful combination of creaminess from the sauce and the tender chewiness of the paneer.

The excellence of Sacramandu doesn't stop at its cuisine. The staff displayed an exceptional level of service, treating us with the utmost care and respect. Their understanding of the menu and their courteous, yet unintrusive approach significantly enhanced our dining experience.

And the icing on the cake? The remarkably reasonable pricing. Sacramandu shattered my notion that dining at a high-quality restaurant would necessarily burn a hole in my pocket. The affordability of their menu, combined with the extraordinary food and service, was genuinely refreshing.

In conclusion, my dining experience at Sacramandu was an unforgettable one. The Shahi Paneer was a tour de force of authentic Indian cuisine, bursting with flavor and tradition. Coupled with their impeccable staff and unbeatable prices, Sacramandu proves to be a restaurant that every food lover must visit. I wholeheartedly recommend you to experience this culinary delight yourself – you won't be...

This was our second time at Sacramandu, and it was even better than the first. Ever since we first went l've been dying to go back, and eventually we did go. As soon as we stepped in we were overwhelmed with the smell of multiple dishes, it felt great. There were plenty of people dining and each one of them seemed to be enjoying themselves. The layout was already amazing before, but there seemed to have been some slight changes, these changes made the restaurant look great. We quickly took a seat and looked at the menu trying to decide what we should order. This was when I realized how diverse the menu truly was, there were dishes from all over South Asia. There was a great selection of vegetarian dishes, ranging from veg momo, to veg pakora. We decided to get both, and they were both delicious. We ordered so much that I couldn't even list all of them in this review, each of them were one of a kind, but if I had to choose my favorite dish, it would have to be between the Butter Chicken and the Chicken Tikka. The butter chicken was so creamy and rich, I couldn't put it down. The Chicken Tikka had such a nice spice level, and was so rich in texture that l'm sure everyone would love it. We ended the night off with eating some kheer, which was perfect. There is nothing I can complain about when it comes to Sacramandu. We will definitely be coming back again, thank you...
