First and foremost, the location is incredibly convenient, making it a go-to spot for those in search of a delightful dining experience. As soon as I entered, I was struck by the pristine cleanliness and warm ambiance. It's evident that the team at Mosaeic takes great pride in providing a welcoming environment for their patrons.
The staff, from start to finish, were exceptionally friendly and efficient. The service was not only fast but also delivered with a genuine smile—a rarity that truly enhances the overall dining experience.
Now, let's talk about the food—the true star of the show. I opted for the veggie platter, and every item on it was a culinary masterpiece. The freshness of the ingredients was evident, and each bite was a burst of deliciousness. The hummus was a standout, managing to be both healthy and incredibly tasty.
The falafels were, without a doubt, the crispiest and most flavorful I've ever had. The dolmas were a delightful surprise—fresh and bursting with flavor. The salad was a refreshing palate cleanser, highlighting the commitment to providing healthy yet delicious options.
The pitas were a perfect accompaniment—fresh and fluffy, the ideal vessel for savoring the various flavors on my plate. The portion size was just right, leaving me satisfied and eager to return for more.
A special mention goes to the lemon sauce, a delightful addition that elevated the entire meal. I'm already planning my return visit to explore more of the tantalizing items on Mosaeic's diverse and impressive menu.
In conclusion, Mosaeic is a culinary delight that deserves every bit of praise. From the impeccable cleanliness to the friendly staff, and, of course, the outstanding food, Mosaeic has earned its place as the best Mediterranean restaurant in Sacramento. Kudos to Eyad and the entire team—I'll be back soon for another unforgettable...
Read moreI would actually rate this 4.5 stars, but because the food and service was excellent, and they still don't seem to be too popular, I chose to give them 5 stars.
This is a low-key restaurant and initially it seemed pricey, but considering the amount of food we got, it seemed more like a bargain by the end. We paid about $33 for the two entrees, including a tip.
This is a blend of table service and counter serve. We ordered at the counter and were handed our drinks (water), and then were served lentil soup, then baklava, and then our main meal with pita bread on the side.
The biggest downside, at least for me, was their choice to use styrofoam and disposables for the drinks and appetizers. It almost felt like this place could be date-worthy: they have dressed up the restaurant to have a nice vibe, with soft music playing in the background, but any semblance of elegance went out the window when our lentil soup appeared in a styrofoam bowl with a plastic spoon. I care more about the environmental consequences than the elegance, but regardless, that's where the half-star reduction comes from.
Everything else was stellar. The people are super nice and every food item was excellent, perhaps with the exception of a few pieces of my chicken which were a bit overcooked (it was a kabob, so it was understandable and not a problem). Even small touches like the garlic sauce were excellent.
A word about the menu: "kabob" refers to a kabob with ground meat, whereas "tikka" refers to a kabob with cubes of meat. The "tikka kabob" comes with one of each. I chose the chicken tikka, and my wife got the shawarma combo. We...
Read morePros: The staff was nice.
Cons: Ordering kiosk was disgusting. Gyro station had no meat to slice from and I believe what I got was microwaved. Menu is very cluttered. Deserts advertised ON THE WINDOW don't exist in store.
Came in on a whim to finally try the place out since I've seen it numerous times while going to Little Caesar's next door. Girlfriend really wanted to try their Mosaeic Pie that's advertised on the window (it's been there for months), and I was told "oh, we don't have that yet, it's coming soon".
The menu was very cluttered so while trying to find out what's in what combo or plate, the employee (who seemed very nice) suggested I use the ordering kiosk and that I can either order from it as well or he can put in my order. The kiosk was gross. Like it had a thick film of dust on it from wet hands handling it and drying with layers of dirt and dust.
The protein I picked was Gyro, and the employee went around the corner and it sounded like he took it out of a microwave to put on my plates. Didn't seem very fresh to me.
As far as "sides" go, tzatziki and hummus were picked, but tzatziki isn't even a side, it's a sauce. Hummus is also a dip/sauce and not a side. So I was very confused when I asked what sides were available for my plate, and those were choices. It's like going to McDonald's and getting a combo meal where you either get fries or ketchup because they both count as a side.
And for what I paid there, while overall it tasted fine, it's just not worth the price.
Employee was nice, ordering kiosk was gross, food was decent but I believe microwaved, and it was...
