Ok, so haven't been in a comic book store in a while. Pulled up on a Saturday afternoon, and the parking lot was hard to read, as the salon next door was open, too. There were many advertisements and posters on the window, but the lit up neon sign and store hours posting showing open hours till 8 confirmed they were open. I was very surprised as I entered! The place was hopping! The young man and woman behind the counter were engaged in a very upbeat conversion with a couple of customers. What looked to be a simple, small shop on the exterior, was filled with a fantastic, intriguing, organized collection of displayed comics, graphic novels, and collectables! As I was on a mission to get the new first edition of the updated 2019 G.I.Joe comic, I had been personally taken to their mega-wall of modern offerings where BINGO! they had a couple left! I then inquired about them having any of the older editions... The ones from my childhood...'80's collections. And,YES they did!!! Winner winner!!! The salesman took me to the back wall where I was again amazed by the huge collection of classic comics, categorically organized as one could imagine a perfect comic store would appear! As I flipped through multiple boxes (he had introduced me to a box of newly arrived stock, and had more on the table), and started my selecting, I took notice of the multiple patrons on the floor. Ranging in many ages and demographics, they each looked like they had their purpose to be there. As you can probably tell from the timeline of my interests, I'm not a young person. Being an old guy in a comic book store could have made me feel awkward, but instead, I was feeling right at home (and happily surprised). There was television monitor flashing Batman images from a series, and a long table of graphic artist who were diligently sketching what looked to be Batman styled artwork. (I was informed I was there on the Batman 80th anniversary, and they had a lot of events, discounts, and gives-aways going on in honor.) Man! What customer engagement! Upon having my choices, I slipped past the table of artists to check out the south wall of collectibles. There was a great collection of new and vintage "mint in box" figures (Funko-Pops!) and collectibles! As I checked out, I was further offered to have my interests put on file, as the management team makes active pursuits to meet their customer needs while restocking. Again... Unsurmountable customer service!!! Oh, and they have this great tiered frequent customer club you can join at 3 different levels that offers great returns on your initial investment). What a great choice for me to stop in! You...

I messaged on Facebook letting them know what I was looking for. They replied back with pictures and I told them I was coming. When I arrived, the books were ready and Andy greeted me by name. I decided to stay and shop and wait out the storm. 45 minutes later I was about $80 poorer and very happy. I even signed up for their rewards program.
Another reviewer suggested that their prices were too high but I found them to be competitive. Of course one will probably find cheaper at conventions and maybe on eBay (minus the high shipping costs) but the experience more than made up for it. Friendly, knowledgeable, and a great selection. I love comic book stores because of that personal touch and someone to talk comics with. And in addition to all that, the store was bright and organized and offered so much in addition to comic books.
Keep up the great work, Coy Comics. You have a new customer in me and Legend...
Read moreOrdered a graphic novel was told it would be in next week. 14 days later and still nothing. Had to argue for a refund. Was told I could no longer order anything. Tone change once my receipts were brought up for the refund and they saw how much I spent with them and now I could still order things. Canceled two other comics because I was not happy with how I was treated. Bought a comic from them today the staff at the store was nice. When I got home I had a message saying the comic book I requested to be canceled was canceled and that my account is limited and I will have to put a full none refundable deposit down if I want to order anything in the future. I will not be going back. When I first started to come to Coy’s I looked past that every time I checked out I had to say no to a million...
