We lived here 2 years and within that two years the A/C unit has went out several times, the furnace has went out several times, They hardly ever cut the grass or clean up the land scraping. The carpet on the stairs is completely loose, they do not ever spray for bugs so there spiders and ants everywhere, the dry wall ceiling in the laundry closet collapsed. The A/C units are way too small for these 2 story apartments, you have to set the temperature down stairs at 60 degrees just to get the upstairs down to 70 degrees at night in the summer which means the A/C is always running ( huge electric bills).
When the A/C has gone out management gets in no hurry to fix it and it usually takes them about 3 tries to actually get it running right again. We have gone several days with no A/C in the middle of the summer. I explained to them that I have dog that cannot handle the heat with no A/C while I am at work.
after being there 2 years and never being late on rent they decided to raise the rent $250 bucks all in the last year. This place is not worth what they are charging by a long shot. There are other apartments in new Town that I would recommend trying before coming to Promenade.
Also when we moved out they charged us $1600 to replace the living room and kitchen floors due to pet damage. there floor plan shows those areas being 475 sqft they charged us for 675 sqft of replacement floor. We paid $1520 in total deposits and the repair quote they gave us was for $1675 but said that we owed them an additional $400 to cover these repairs. should be $150 additional. They refused to adjust for depreciation because the floors were beat up when we moved in. They refused to answer the explainable deference in what they say we owed. they just sold the debt to a collections agency.
this is a horribly dishonest...
Read moreAs a short term tenant of Promenade at New Town I have experienced severe flooding, and unresolved bug infestation.Due to insufficient full disclosure of flooding in rental property and a consistent bug infestation after/before the apartment provided spraying. In conclusion, the apartment complex has failed to remedy the bug infestation. As a result, the apartment's conditions left me no choice but to leave immediately. August 19,2020 I paid the buy-out fee equal to two (2) month's rent, and left the premises before the move out date. Provided in the lease document, tenants are allowed to move out before the termination date.I returned the keys in the leasing office mailbox. On the day it was returned, I sent a written notice of this action to the apartment complex. The said apartment complex rec'd the written notice lease buy-out. Now they are seeking rent for two months after I have returned my keys, and vacated the premises. After inhabitable conditions and emotional distress, I do not agree...
Read moreJust not impressed whatsoever with the townhomes and apartments. Went to look with a friend that’s moving here.
Super dated and small, wood trim is all beat up, kitchens are dated and beat up, small bedrooms, smells like mold and mildew in the place we looked at. Just not worth the money they are asking when you can go up the road to brand new apartments and townhomes that are amazing.
Only thing this place has going for it is the new town name that’s it. Save yourself sometime and...
