Domain Street Wine Bar — Restaurant in Saint Charles

This "hole in the wall" is a very "BIAS" place for some. To get service if you are a person of color is almost impossible and then you have to wait until everyone else in the bar is serviced and then you. Not a good place to go to, unless you are served by my favorite bartender. She is a "jewel" and she knows who she is.

The customers are great and great to party with. All was very friendly to me and we enjoy each others company!

They smoke vape pins and marijuana outside and in the building to include the bathroom. However Amanda one of the bartenders who is jealous of my name has problems with me. She says she is a Queen (LOL). John the bartender is a very bias young man. He had it out for me the very first time we met.

He is the only one that charges me more for my drink, makes me very uncomfortable, wouldn’t allow my service animal 🦮 to come and yelled my name across the bar to stop us from entering even after I told him she was my service animal and I had her credentials he told me about another dog that had a blood bath in there, but later a person brought in 3 bulldog puppies that were welcomed with opened arms.

John feels if you call his name over all of the noise in the place to beg for service you are yelling at him and later he convinced the other bartenders the same when at first it wasn't a problem. The actual owner is above and beyond meeting and greeting customers. In fact all I know is her name.

Unlike The Disrict Sports & Social the owner is there and she is approachable and she is not bias/prejudice. She aims to please and so does her subordinates.

However I will never forget Saturday on October 5, 2024 he was very welcoming to other dogs and gave treats to them. I said my Diamond is a service animal and you put us out. He said you didn’t tell me that.

That was the 1st thing I told him before he told me about the blood bath. Every time I come someone else has a dog in there and he will yell my name and tell me he didn’t see them.

However he doesn’t want me to call his name when trying to get a drink. He says I am yelling at him when that is definitely not the case. I would merely be trying to get his attention. I have sat there and literally watched others call him, joke with him and never does he have a problem.

As far as me he is always rude and unwelcoming to me. I try to ignore the treatment, but every single time there is something else with him.

The other bartenders are always awesome, except Amanda who is jealous of me merely because of my birth given name. Really!

My money spends everywhere I go!

Buyer beware... "buffalo wings" are not. They are fried chicken with breading & next to no meat. No buffalo sauce at all. Just like ordering KFC. Very disappointed. I only ate 30% because I picked all the breading off & no discount. Even after I expressed my disappointment.

Just saving the next low carb person from making the same mistake I made.
