I have been going to Moore for a few years now. I have special needs animals and have had periods where I had to go to the vet at least four times a month and I have never had a less than superior experience with Moore.
I had three dogs with different needs. I had a senior dog who was abused and had some physical problems and every main body function was pretty much failing him as he got to be very old.. The vets, receptionist, techs, and other staff were superior all the way from medical resources in the facility, knowledge, and treating my pet with respect and dignity. Having the cold laser therapy available gave my dog a longer life. They were so patient with us and really made it the best experience possible for my dog. Moore is always finding ways to accommodate on their own initiative.
I have another dog with some emotional issues. I suspect another place would have asked us to take her another place, but the folks at Moore never made us feel like our dog is difficult (she is though) or that she didn't need the same amount of medical care, treatment, and compassion as a dog that is very friendly and loving. Again, the staff was always making an initiative to accommodate this animal too. Dr. Morden especially has put in a lot of time to research and find ways to help out my animal. She has been more helpful than a vet behaviorist that I paid $650 for just an initial evaluation. She does this on her own initiative and time because she cares.
My third dog does not have special needs and Moore has been just as great with a dog that is low maintenance.
I appreciate that all the vets seem to have a different way of thinking and they all offer a unique insight. Scheduling is easy and wait time is also very good. They treat me and my animals like family. Moore is also very reasonable in their prices. I have never felt like they were trying to rip me off. I have always thought their prices were set in a way that they can survive and try to support their families, run a facility, and have resources to better the health of animals. I am truly grateful for every...
Read moreMy kitten, Mochi, was very very ill. He broke out with a fever that was very high, and since it was after hours everywhere I had to take him to the E.R.. Mochi was treated with i.v. fluids and i.v. antibiotics and sent home with instructions to take him to my primary care vet the next day. Well Mochi is only 4 months, I had not vax'd him yet so he had no primary care vet yet so the next day i tried calling around to find someplace to take him in, but no one would. Every vet i called said they were all booked up, and could not take any time for my poor little kitten.
My sister goes to Moore so she called them and asked of Mochi could be seen, and that his fever was 104.8. They gave him an appointment that afternoon!
I saw Dr Borden. She is just awesome! She was very concerned and went out of her way to figure out what was going on. I've been to other vets who run in and out of the exam room so fast that you feel rushed and forget all the questions you wanted to ask. Dr Borden took her time and made me feel at ease, and gave me enough time to process what she was saying and allowed me to actually remember the questions i wanted to ask.
She treated Mochi, then when I got home, she actually called to see how he was doing! She even googled some stuff after i left the office and was really thinking about his case that eve.
Dr. Borden wanted me to bring Mochi back a few days later. He was still sick, only showing slight signs of improvement so she tried something else on him and by the time I got him home he was walking again and eating, and he even walked to the litter box and pooped on his own! The only reason why she didn't give Mochi this medicine the first time i brought him was cause it can be dangerous for kittens to take, but in situations like the one he was in two days later, its better to give him this medicine than not. But I'm very glad Dr. Borden is so cautious, and really thinking about medicine side effects, and what is best for my kitten!
Anyway, I'm moving to the area close to Moore Veterinary Hospital, and I'm definitely going to be bringing my cats there...
Read moreId give no stars if optional. They are a total rip off. After telling me to take my dog in, they charge me 55 bucks and say we cant treat till Monday, Monday comes they charge me out rages prices for pain medicine and anesthesia to clean out a anal duct. I paid 300 total from this visit. No incisions, no stitches, just cleaning a gland! I read my dogs file before meeting with the doctor, after complaining he stone walled explained they didn't charge me a visit fee since I paid 55 on Saturday, yet they charged me 45 for a partial hospital visit ( that is the same as a visit fee!) they charged me more money to gas my 24lb dog then my dentist does to gas me ! Then after complain and requesting records the doctor went back and added to his chart that he is aggressive and needs a muzzle and that I complained ( passive aggressive much sir? ) Oddly his nurse carried him out to me, so I guess he really is mean! his record states he should have meds and lotion and I had to ask for them 3 separate times and ask two separate times for my dogs complete records. So if you want an ethical practice that will care for your dog, not rip you off and use manipulative if not downright unethical and illegal business practices then please seek a better vet. My regular vet reviewed the record and said it should have been a max 150!. Many other vets in the area who are more ethical and transparent then this one. Please look around before subjecting your loved animal to...
