So, I don’t like to complain, but when you call me a liar, I all bets are off. I placed an order online at 12:21 for two smoothies. I Received an email that they would be done at 12:36. Online orders are usually done before the time indicated at this location so I showed up at 12:29. I told an employee I had an online order for “my name” and was told he had the order and would make it right now. I watched as he added the ingredients and placed them into the blender, and hit the blend button. Time now 12:31. I watched as my smoothies sat in the blender for over five minutes until another employee poured them into the cups and pushed them to the side. Time now 12:37. Customers came and went, smoothies made, while my smoothies continues to sit on the counter. The employee finally bagged my drinks up and walked them to the refrigerator where I was standing. I asked if they were for “my name” and she said yes. Time is now 12:41. I said you realize they had been done ten minutes ago. The employee said, that is not true, I just blended them up. If that’s the story the employee is sticking with, I’m sorry but you’re the liar. I understand the service industry is hurting and this location has staffing issues, but do not call me a liar and dismiss me. Why does this new generation have a difficult time saying, “I’m sorry, we’re short staffed and we’ll try to do better next time”, rather then lie to me and actually argue with me about what I just saw. I would have given it five stars except for this reason, when ordering ahead from the app you get notified that the location has received your order, and you are given an approximate time it will be ready. So you go to the location (this particular location doesn't have a drive thru, in store pickup only) near the time to pick up. You never get notified that your order is actually ready. When I ordered from this location I went inside about 10 minutes before the approximate time the app said the order would be ready. Sat there for a few minutes and the employee asked me if I was waiting on an order and what the name was. I was very surprised that the order was already waiting for me. If I was able to be notified it was ready it would cut down on waiting on the inside. Read moreI've been to dozens of Tropical smoothie and have had wonderful experiences but this location is terrible and rude. They have signs everywhere asking for tips! I don't tip fast food places like McDonald's or Panda Express for the workers to do the job they are hired and paid for....its not a sit down restaurant where they come and wait on you and get paid 2 an hr like a server. So it was very obnoxious. And I didn't tip despite their numerous asks. Mostly locations offer the extra to you in a small cup. I mean why flush it down the sink right!? It's so wasteful. So here they didn't say anything so I specifically asked for the extra in a cup and they told me no after I paid - they said they couldn't pour the extras in a cup so they basically lied and I watched her pour another glass worth down the drain right in front of us on our way out.
