Meat Wonderfood Lake Nona — Local services in Saint Cloud

Usually I don't write poor reviews, but I needed the general public to be aware of what I experienced. From looking at their website I had a gist of the price point, and my husband had an idea of what he wanted. We picked one meat and told them how much we wanted . This is where the down fall begins the 2nd meat was pulled and my husband informed them he wanted 2lbs of this meat and was told he could be accommodated. When the package was brought out and immediately handed to cashier without asking us for approval and immediately scanned the package. We were expecting the price to be around $35-$40 the meat was $75 and almost 4 lbs of meat and they tried to play as though this was something we agreed to, because they assumed I didn't speak Spanish they were speaking extremely unprofessional about my husband and I. When we finally told them no that's not what we wanted they proceeded to tell us they could cut the meat in half in order to get the weight we wanted. We politely declined. When we asked where the miscommunication was they proceeded to say that they eyeball when they cut and that exact measurements aren't really possible, but at the beginning of the interaction they told us they could accommodate us. We have been visiting this butcher shop since it opened. They have a great selection of meats. Nonetheless, the fact that tipping is even an option it is completely unacceptable. I choose the meat that I want, the employee takes it to the cash register and rings me up, and the register gives me the option of tipping, so I bought a $150 skirt steak and you are expecting me to tip 23 dollars for scanning the item that I choose. No… no and no! You got to do better. Even though it is optional it is unacceptable. Imagine going to Publix and having the “option” of tipping. Also, the employee is hesitant waiting for the tip you could see him a bit desperate. If it wasn’t for the tipping option I would have given...

I came over on Sunday with my s/o to try their ribeye steaks. We got two 1 pound prime steaks. The lady working there offered to have the steaks cut to our desired thickness and we were so excited. When we got home, we opened the package and the meat was so badly cut. One steak was okay, but the other steak was so badly cut by at least a half inch difference. Because the steak was so badly cut, half of the steak was overcooked while the other half was medium rare. Coming to a place like this with prices like that, we were definitely expecting the meat to be cut correctly. We did come 15 minutes before closing but regardless that was unacceptable.
