Why two stars? You get a mixed bag of customer support, product support and professionalism from different team members at AWP. I purchased an entire whole-house appliance package and water softener from AWP in late 2018, that's about 13k in appliances. I have placed two warranty calls so far. Let's start with the positive. The service team is terrific. They deserve 5 stars. Danielle is polite, communicative and quick to respond to my warranty service issues. Travis, the on-site service technician, is top notch. He is patient, pleasant and incredibly knowledgeable about appliance maintenance and repair. AWP, don't let these people go because they balance out the negativity from the front of your house. So why 2 stars? Jesse, I hope your aggressive and condescending tone during our phone conversation is because you are having a bad day. HOWEVER, when you tell customers like myself, that they should go against the operating instructions from the manufacturer, I'm forced to write a negative review. For all those still reading, I was instructed by Jesse in sales, to throw dishwasher detergent pods into the bottom of my dishwasher. However, when I attempted to explain that I have tried all types of detergent in the dispenser (yet the dishes are randomly cleaned), he pugnaciously interrupted, "I don't know anyone who still uses the soap dispenser! I don't even know why they still make those..." My response? "Are you kidding me?" When I noted that his own service tech advised against throwing the detergent pods into the bottom of my appliance he growled... "Well, I'm his boss! I'll talk to him about that!" Really? Talk to him about what? The fact that even the manufacturer of my appliance does not recommend throwing the pods into the bottom? Yet, you are telling me to do just that? Read moreI'm honestly extremely disappointed by our experience here, specifically our interactions with Jesse. We ordered a full set of appliances a few months back. Due to Covid 19 our fridge has be OOS for months. During that time we were supposed to receive a griddle that came with our stove (we were told it would be shipped to our address), also our brand new dishwasher has started making rattling and concerning sounds that were not happening when the dishwasher was installed.
We messaged Jesse to let him know what's been going on. We've yet to receive our griddle and he completely ignored our attempts at sending him videos and concerns of our dishwasher.
We finally received a message from him that our fridge is in stock. We informed him that we want to make sure that the issues we are experiencing are resolved before we spend another $3k as we are concerned about the longevity of the brand since we already experiencing issues with the dishwasher.
He responded with so much animosity and told us to pay the remaining $17.90 we owe and he will sell the fridge to someone else. I'm honestly SHOCKED that a business owner would be so arrogant and treat his customers that way to completely dismiss their concerns, and also the fact that he still owes a product as promised that has not been fulfilled.
I would rather pay more money and find the product somewhere else than deal with someone who truly does not care about his customers. As someone who works in customer service, the way he responded was completely unacceptable and I definitely will not be referring anyone to buy their appliances here. In fact I will make sure to let everyone I know of our experience and not to purchase from here. So much for trying to support a locally...
Read moreI used to really like AWP but not now. The way things work around STG is when the construction is hopping, the businesses that cater to the builders no longer care about the individual homeowners and that’s what has happened here, I would say.
I have bought, from AWP,, a dishwasher, refrigerator, oven, microwave and a water softener (ALL of my appliances but they no longer care about me).
I am unable to get them to return calls. I won’t throw the particular sales guy under the bus by mentioning his name. I have recently bought another washer/dryer, fridge, microwave and oven for my rentals, but not from AWP. They have lost my business. I called multiple times and the sales guy even apologized profusely for never calling back but turned around and did it yet again.
Also when they installed my dishwasher they left the hose and cord out where it was just sitting on the floor and never would come...
