So today I went in to check the place out and to ask about my dog's next shots and there was a guy on the phone and I thought he was the only guy there but he wasn't regardless of that I was pretty much attacked by this tattooed guy that works there verbally he even tried to start an argument with me and my child was in the stroller next to me it all started with me seeing these five dogs bullied by a terrier trying too pretty much bite the heck out of all the other dogs that were in that specific cage all the puppies that were being bullied we're in a corner trying to stay away from this terrier. They workers were telling me that they were playing, it didn't seem that way to me I've seen dogs play I am a dog person and I know what they do. Their was girls and boys in the same cage and they were all different kinds of breeds and so I taped the cage too hard I guess. I didn't really notice that part just to get the Terriers attention so I can pet him and try to calm him down and the guy screams at me saying don't hit the cage like that and he was being very rude about it very loud about it again my child next to me all I was trying to do again, calm down that dog because he was literally biting the ear of the dogs in there and I got my dog there and she had bite marks all over her ears so I guess that's how they get them. When I went to the front and started looking around at the prices of the food and trying to see if I can calm down you know and try to talk to someone else that was at the front and he asked me are you finding everything okay and I told him actually not really I was in the back where the dogs were and this man one man yelled at me and then he I guess he heard me and he came and he started the argument again in front of my child and started yelling literally and made me really aggravated but you know what I tried to explain as calm as i could under the circumstance what was going on and he kept cutting me off. so this tattoo man feels what manly screaming at a woman with her child next to her I don't understand what kind of customer service has learned but this isn't what I've learned. all the animals are virtually all put together and Terriers are known to be bullies I don't know why they would put him with such submissive breeds it was very horrible I said you know what forget it and he sarcastically said bye bye I was like you should be ashamed of yourself. That's the last thing I told the man I wanted to say more as of hey do you not recognize I have a child here why are you yelling or hey what's your problem I was there to try to find out how much the shots for my dog was going to be the dog that I got at your Palace and it sucks because the tattoo guy has made me feel so uncomfortable that I really never want to go there I don't know if this is an ongoing problem with customer service but I went to Petco and they helped me through the whole ordeal never left my side. it's really sad to the fact that this man is supposed to be kind and helping and instead doesn't even let me explain why I tapped the cage to try to calm down a dog I would like to know who the owner of this place is because I kind of feel harassed by that guy and no one who makes someone feel that way should be working in customer service but I mean obviously it's the owner's decision and I guess again it's the tattooed guy heavy set that did this in front of my child who is 20 months old I tried to help small business owners and shop at their places but this place...
Read moreBeing born and raised in St. George, Sue's pet Castle has been around for as long as I can remember. Of all the other pet stores that has come and gone into town over the years, this business has been the only successful one. I know there was a change in ownership, and the name was changed to Animal Kingdom. And just recently learned that the old owners had taken it back, due to the previous owner Robert Vaughn running it in the ground. Which was really unfortunate since how it's been such a successful business, and he only had it for a short while. So I was very disturbed to see all the negative reviews on here about the store, but as I read the reviews it was easy to see, that it is in fact the previous owner Robert Vaughn who is making up fictitious names to write bad reviews to make this business look bad. SO CUSTOMERS BEWARE, the names Kirt Matthews, Dave Hafen, and Mike Lasthoues, are in fact fictitious names made up by Mr. Vaughn. He must really be struggling with his failures of being unable to run a successful business and the previous owners having to take it away from him due to his incompetence. He clearly did a number on that business, since I recently learned there are court documents that are online free to the public to be viewed of some of the things he did during his very SHORT ownership of that store. It makes for some interesting read, I would recommend checking them out. Yes I had to do some digging of my own, since how these negative reviews did not make any sense, not to mention St. George itself being such a small town word travels fast. So while I know you can't make everyone happy, but these reviews seem to coincidental, since they were just recently posted and the store was taken over on October 1, 2015. So hearing the rumors that the store was taken back, it wasn't hard to figure out where these negative reviews were coming from. My family and friends have bought many things from the store over the years and has met the owners on many occasions, they are by far the greatest people you could deal with. They are fair, understanding, and and they sell quality products. They most certainly work with you. Their years of being in business, and their reputation speaks for itself. I highly recommend this store for all your pet needs. You won't be...
Read moreI would have given this negative stars, but it wouldn't let me post. For how ridiculously expensive this place is, you would think that they would have better polices/rules. I went in to get a $10 fancytail goldfish. When we got home, I noticed that he had a white spot on him. I thought it was just his color, but upon further inspection, I realized it was fungus. Since fungus isn't contagious, I figured that it was just a freak accident or that he got an open wound from being with bigger fish in the Sue's tank. I went to get fungus medicine and he was already dead writhin that day. I went back and got 2 more fancytail goldfish (now at $30 for goldfish). I brought them home and noticed immediately that they had ick! It quickly grew by the next day. I called and told them nicely what had happened and if I could at least get a refund for the first one or some ick medicine or something?? He was very rude, told me that he can't do anything since I didn't call the day of the fungus, and that the best he could do... is reccomend that I come in and BUY ICK MEDICINE! He said he can't control ick and that the other fish don't have it. I said, really? You can't compensate at all? Also, I have to buy the medicine for fish that came sick? Okay thanks, never mind. Then, he had the audacity to HANG UP ON ME! I will never set foot in this "establishment" EVER again. This post will be going on all of my social media as well. Terrible, terrible service. By the way, I have 3 other tanks and they are all fine! I know how to take care of fish, Sue's Pet...
