For many years I have been a student, published writer, and teacher, spanning the historic transition from paper to electronic formats. Computers have been very helpful in research, writing, teaching, and publishing, but mastery of electronic technology has been laborious and time consuming for me over the years. After visiting Lifeguard Computers, my frustration with computer technology has greatly diminished. These young men, in particular Ammon Sorden, understood my frustration and needs in using computers, and efficiently built me a system that simplified my life and made it blessedly more efficient. Furthermore, they didn't just sell me a machine and wish me well after I paid for it. They spent a lot of time educating me in system selection and use in terms that I could grasp and work with. Ammon has been exceedingly cordial and has the gift of teaching his extensive experience and comprehension of computer hardware and software technology, even though he is only 25 years old. He built me a superb system at a price comparable to the discount stores and supplied a 3 year hardware warranty. Any time I have any problem, Lifeguard is available personally and online to resolve it. While in their shop, I overheard Lifeguard techs talking with customers in very patient, diplomatic terms that didn't assume the customer was a geek expert. This pleasant and humble manner of dealing with sometimes difficult and frustrating customers is what has all kinds of people, especially senior citizens like me, returning again and again to Lifeguard. There really isn't enough room in this review box for me to give all the accolades that Lifeguard Computers and their staff deserve! They are FIVE STARS on every level! Here's why... When my $5k+ iMac Pro that I only had for just over 3 years crashed at the end of 2022, and was unfixable (unless I wanted to pay as much or more than a new one would be) I was left with nothing but parts to try to sell. It was time for me to seriously consider moving from Mac to PC. I'd been a Apple guy since the 90's and never thought I would say that.

I have my own company doing high end digital film and broadcast TV productions. I have for many years which, requires a computer that has speed, power and dependability. Aiden at Lifeguard showed me how they could build for me the most powerful PC. One that would cost a quarter of what a Mac with the same specs would cost! They created it and did it in less than 2 weeks. If I have any issues (which I've had very few) they are there to help with speedy response time and answers. It's like having my own in-house IT team! For instance, I was in the middle of a massive project and under a serious time crunch when the computer went black. In a panic, I called Aiden at Lifeguard, I dropped off the computer, they did the diagnostics (faulty power supply) and within a 4 hour period from when it went black, I was back up and running and completed my project on time (at no cost mind you)! After reading other reviews and reading about the company's unprecedented commitment to take care of their customer's needs. Including house calls, I was excited to check it out. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. I walked in in. No one was at the counter, so I said "Is anyone here?" (I could hear someone in their shop.) Two minutes later, an employee finally came through the shop door and said Can I help you?". When I said I just stopped by to check out the store, he seemed irritated. I asked him a couple questions, which he answered rather abruptly. One question was "Can you reinstall a program I like, which is no longer supported by anything beyond Windows 7" His answer was, "No." No elaboration. No questions. Nothing. So I asked him if they sold computers. He said, Yes." When I said "May I see them?" His response, "Look behind you." There were a couple computers on display. When I asked if this was all they had, he responded with ,"Yes.". It was obvious he wanted to go back to whatever he was doing and had no interest in finding out what I might need, so I thanked him for his time and left. When I got home, I Googled how to install an unsupported program on a computer operating with Windows 10 and mmediately found instructions for doing so. They worked, no thanks to anyone from Lifeguard Computers, however. I don't think I will do business with this company since I prefer to do business with...
