I invested over $400 in a small framing project, a sand dollar with a picture. The project came out beautifully, however, the sand dollar was mounted upside down.

I wanted it corrected, but was concerned the fix would be an additional cost. It was driving me crazy, though, so I reached out and the Frame Dames offered to correct it for no cost.

However, less than a month later the sand dollar began disconnecting from the backing. Had I not caught it in time, it would have fallen and broken.

The Frame Dames corrected the issue, but at this point I was frustrated. It’s a drive for me to go to St. Johnsbury and so I requested a partial refund.

I was told the owner was out of town and would respond when she returned.

Over a week passed and I picked up my fixed project. I asked about the partial refund and was again told that the owner would respond.

It’s been over a month since my first email and I’ve followed up via email four times. Every other email I sent was promptly responded to.

This project has required six total trips to and from St. Johnsbury in addition to the over $400 cost. I have other framing projects I’m budgeting for and will be taking...

This place is wonderful! I recently moved back to Vermont and brought with me some paintings that are to large and too heavy for me to hang myself. Once we got settled, I stopped by a framing shop in the capital city to see if the did at home hangings. Unfortunately they didn’t. I then was put in contact with a gentleman that hangs art at many local shows in the area. He was pleasant and had the skills I unfortunately didnt feel hanging a painting should cost as much as he quoted. Discourage, that I might not be able to get my stuff hung affordably I happened to drive by the Frame Dame shop in Saint Johnsbury and thought I’ll give them a call and check. To my delight, hanging my painting was something that they could do and were willing to due as long as we adhered to covid standards. We did and honestly I couldn’t be happier. They did a wonderful job and were completely professional. Im happy and will have them back...
