*Found what I needed-MYSELF (As usual). Because RARELY is there an Employee (not a Cashier) in sight to HELP/or they're NOT quite educated or familiar enough w/the Store & its STUFF, & some seem UNINTERESTED -like kind of "Slacker-ish"!!!!
*I was there over the weekend (& The FIRST TIME this has happened) I walked up to a Cashier- 'JENNA', I said Hello- She said NOTHING, No Eye Contact. I Tossed My Items up on the Counter (made a good lil bit of noise- some Metal things-Intending for Her to notice My Growing Irritation- NOTHING) *One of My Items had no price tag, & She told a Mgr.-who was just walking up-& the Cashier behind Me- RUDELY Interrupts & Asks[Tells] the Mgr to "Help HER FIRST, because Blah, Blah, Blah" -after 'HELP 'HER' FIRST'-AND then Seeing the Mgr WAS going to- I didn't HEAR anything more...I looked Her in the Eye & VERY PISSY-ish, TOLD Her I'd get it MYSELF & walked off!! I Got it & brought to Her. Silently, She rang up all, I paid, got bag & walked out.
*NEVER did She say Hello, or Thank Me- for going to get another of the item WITH A TAG-or End with "Have a Nice Day"... SERIOUSLY??!!!
*I am ALSO letting their Corporate know of This Ridiculous Lack of Customer Service!
*Also, just FYI (if didn't know), they only allow ONE COUPON- PER PERSON- PER DAY! THIS is a Big Reason why I go to JOANN'S-in KC, as much as possible!! (Even though it's about an Hour-ish roundtrip!!) [out of the way] St. Joe's Store hardly has anything!!
*Sorry to have to give such a NEGATIVE OPINION- But, Sadly- They've...
Read moreI remember Saint Joseph, Missouri's Hobby Lobby store in it's first location, second location, & alas, it's current location across from the Miniature Golf Course. I found the first store to be really interesting. They had a bow designing area that taught how to make fancy bows for gifts & several other family crafts. From kits to crochet, transfer patterns to embroider that were of modern crafts, the first store was fun. The second store, I found a box of painted, wooden blocks, much like the 1970's Fischer Price blocks & I had been trying to find them again, to add to the ones I had put up from my childhood. That year, my oldest son, received the new blocks along with my blocks as a Christmas present. I was happy & he was too. The store they have now, is fun to shop in. It has science toys to help children to play as they learn about science. From really nice fabric, cross stitch supplies ( my favorite ), doll houses, holiday crafts, to children's crafts, They have most of what people love to design & create. They had beautiful fabric flowers that did not fade much at all that I bought for My Grandpa & brother's vase beside their gravestone. They lasted several years. I would display them from Spring to Autumn, then remove them. I can not say enough about this store. It is owned & operated out of Oklahoma by people who believe in God,...
Read moreThis is a great store with a somewhat large selection of everything craft related, however.... I expect to be able to walk into a business on a not very busy day and checkout in a reasonable time. The clerks were very nice I admit, but standing in line while listening to a discussion on the individual pieces being bought by the ladies in front of me, and then each piece being wrapped individually is just toooo much. 7 to 8 minutes in line is to long. During the same time frame, another clerk standing at a register told me she was not open. She and three other employees stood staring at the ceiling which was leaking due to ice and rain run off. Talking between themselves they repeatedly said "do you see that, there is another leak." Then the discussion turned to lunch, all the while staring at the ever growing wet spots on the sagging ceiling tile. At one point they looked like a bunch of turkeys in a rain storm. I know this sounds petty and I do apologize, but customer service is getting people in and out of your business in a courteous and efficient manner. I like to spend money locally and support my community but you had dang sure should do a better job than this. This is why brick and mortar stores are failing. I will start planning ahead and ordering supplies on-line it...
