Rent-A-Center — Local services in Saint Joseph

I went in the store twice recently looking for a bedroom set. The first time someone was at the counter apparently telling their life story and I just didn't have time so I left. The second time a lady came out of the back not even wearing shoes (or any type of professional clothing for that matter). I asked if they had anything available other than the grayish colored stuff on the floor because I think it's hideous. She said she could order other things. My wife asked about a mattress. She told us it would be 6 weeks. I'm pretty sure the website says "get what you want today". I was directed to use the QR code and fill out an application while she got back on the phone. The QR didn't work. The lady then offered to do the application for me. She requested a copy of my lease and current check stubs. Understandable but I don't just carry that stuff around with me. That's when my patience was spent and I walked out of the store. I did the online application and received a few text messages then someone from the store called me at work. I told them via the text I was sent to contact my wife yet they still called me at work. I was polite but concise since I was at work in telling them to call my wife. My wife later told me that the manager that came out not wearing shoes said she refuses to do business with me because I "stormed out of the store". Really?! I've bought several things from that very store in the thousands of dollars and I get this kind of run-around and now refusal?! If someone above her is reading this I'd love to speak to you. I was very polite the manager there joy I believe is her name was rude and nasty and unprofessional, I called cause was going to try to rent a washer and dryer set Beings I don't have a landlord and I live with my fiancée and the house is in his name. He can be a co signer but he doesn't have a job and I told her. That's fine, we'll just look somewhere else cause. She said she couldn't rent to me. Because the lease is not in my name or the house is not my name. I find that ridiculous. But I'm sure it's. They are nothing but thieves! Doesn't matter who the manager is. Joy lied and stole money from me and this new bish Mindy doesn't care about the price me and the previous manager discussed and agreed on, she just threatened me with the police. Needless to say she is about as useful as joy was. So I was under the impression that I was purchasing the electric bike from them for an outright price of $500 plus tax but after paying over $350 for the bike Joy is fired and replaced, I'm now being told I still owe $516 and some change and the amount I already paid towards the bike doesn't matter to them because Joy is gone and they didn't make that deal with me. It was used and in pretty bad shape so I thought I was getting a good deal at 500 bucks but I just got lied too, stolen from and screwed over in the end of it all. I'll never even think twice about that wannabe place...
