I really wanted to like this spa but yesterdayâs experience just reminded me that these services arenât worth the price anymore. I had scheduled a facial with derma planning and eyebrow lamination almost a month before my appointment. They called me and told me that they had to cancel my original date. I had to call them back because they didnât call me with the new aestheticians schedule. When I arrived at my appointment, the aesthetician told me that she could not fulfill the eyebrow lamination or derma planning because they do not have the ingredients for the lamination and sheâs not licensed to do the derma. I was kind of upset because that didnât give me any time between the date I got the service done yesterday and when Iâm leaving for my trip to get eyebrow lamination and the facial I wanted. It kinda of felt like âhey just tell her when she gets here that we canât do it.ââŚ
I wish that they had called me beforehand because they saw that I was getting the service done and if they didnât check to have the ingredients, I couldâve gotten it done somewhere else. She offered to give me an eyebrow tint and she tinted them. But after arriving home I saw that they were unevenly tinted and she didnât touch up my Eyebrows at all - no plugging or waxing no shaping, nothing. I scheduled a pedicure and manicure to be done after my facial and eyebrow lamination. I had to wait 45 minutes in between appointments because lamination wouldâve taken longer if I had gotten that done. Again, they shouldâve checked their schedule an ingredients to adjust the scheduling. The nail area looked a messy and so did the techâs nail station. The water for the pedicure was cold but I wasnât going to let it bother me. Unfortunately the nail tech was sniffling through most of the appointment. It made me uncomfortable that she was audibly not feeling well and touching me. Even if it was allergies, donât come in? I requested a gel pedicure, every time she put the light on my toes the light kept touching the paint on my toes and you can see it l that itâs not done completely like it smugged, but she blamed me for moving my feet. I left without getting my manicure. The pedicure was NOT worth $77! I feel bad that my husband got a $250 for here. As a mom of a 1 and a 3 year old I never get time or spend money on myself so this sucked. The prices do not match the quality of service here. Find a different...
Read moreI did the full spa experience pedicure and I LOVED the experience. This was my first visit and I was blown away with how beautiful the salon and spa were.
This service is essentially a body massage and a pedicure. You get the full spa experience - comfy white robe and all. It was incredibly relaxing and warm.
The woman providing my services, Lesa, was lovely!
The only downside is the pedicure portion. First off, I wasnât able to get gel polish during this service. If I would have known this, I wouldnât have done this. I honestly didnât even know people still used old school polish! I have been getting gel pedicures every 4-5 months for 10 years and they always look freshly done and never chipped. During my Salt pedicure, Lesa remarked that she couldnât believe my pedicure was done over three months ago as it looked brand new. My toe nails grow very slowly and I only have to get a pedicure every 4-6 months. All this to say that regular polish doesnât last at all and I canât imagine why anyone would prefer this over gel? I took these photos two days after my spa pedicure and you can see the polish is starting to chip and thereâs varying degrees of coverage. There is also some weird shaping to my nails.
Iâm bummed as I got this pedicure a week before my bachelorette party and assumed it would last for my wedding (less than a month away which should have been no problem as my normal pedicures last at least 3 months, sometimes 6) but itâs clear I will have to pay again to get another pedicure before my October wedding. I will continue to only ever get gel pedicures.
Unfortunately, because the restrictions of the spa pedicure with gel, I wonât get this service again. I will book massages and pedicures separately from now on! (Whenever I can afford to splurge at Salt again!)
Definitely would return for other services at Salt though! Lovely...
Read moreI just received a SALT facial (the one on the website that is stated to be "Totaling to a 1.5+ hour experience." and includes a hand, arm & foot massage in addition to a foot soak & exfoliation upon arrival). I booked online and was called to be notified that the foot soak and exfoliation wouldn't be available at the time of my appointment but that I could either skip it without any amount of refund or I could reschedule a couple hours later if I preferred to receive the entire service description. Fine. I rescheduled for a couple hours later. What is not fine is that my aesthetician Halle did not give me the entire service even then. I did receive the foot soak and exfoliation upon arrival. I did not receive a hand, arm or foot massage. When I asked I was told "well that's because I chose a physical exfoliant for your facial and that took all the time" by Halle. I told her that I would have liked to have known that, as I would have preferred a chemical exfoliant in that case because those extras are what made me come here for the service. She then responded with "well I wouldn't have been comfortable with that anyways because it was the first time I've seen you", which is so wildly unacceptable. I not only didn't receive the full service but this person apparently will never give a new client the full service. I am waiting for a call from the manager to hear their response to this situation (and will update when I hear back) but for the time being I am fully appalled by this entire experience. I will say the woman at the front desk was lovely and extremely understanding but had limited ability to do anything but listen. I very much hope for this situation to be remedied. Last thing to note I was out the door after an hour and ten minutes. In no way did was it a "1.5+ hour experience". So disappointed I was looking...
