When I went to the salon I knew I had at least a 4 hour appointment in front of me my hair is extremely dark (darkest brown/ almost black) and was told to expect at least 4 hours going to as close to platinum as possible in one session. I had a consultation prior to the appointment. Well, I had my eyes closed relaxing enjoying being pampered because I usually do my own hair, this visit was my birthday present. I am not a trained professional but I have taken my own hair to platinum blonde before, (in one session) and I have dyed over 26 different peopleâs hair, because I am good at it and I appreciate the value of a womanâs hair. 40 minutes into my session I was approached by Nikki who said âare you okay?â I said âumm yes, why?â âBecause you were falling asleep, and if you do that again we will have to stop doing your hair.â I was highly offended by this because of her tone, I felt she was insinuating that I was high, because why would you have to stop doing my hair if I fell asleep? I was enjoying having my hair done and yes I fell asleep because it was relaxing, but you know okay I said let me work on some homework while Iâm here for 3more hours at least, weâll anytime I tried to look down at my phone stylist Kylee needed me to put my head up she said âor I wonât be able to finishâ like what is it with you people saying you wonât finish my hair. If thatâs not bad enough after 15 min of having the final bleach applied Kylee checks it and says âoh my god we need to rinse this off right nowâ umm okay??? I know it could not be done, but sheâs the expert. At the sink she says âyour ends are literally melting and I donât know how to fix thisâ she then pulled another stylist over they both looked at my hair and then walked away for a few minutes I could hear them talking about me. So Kylee comes back and says âitâs just your ends so we will need to cut about 2 inches offâ I start crying, my hair is precious to me, thatâs why I do it myself because I donât trust anyone not to mess it up, I have had one too many bad salon visits in my 27 years, I only went to Blush because my mother in law and sister in law go there and have amazing results. After I start crying Kylee says âyour hair is going to be fineâ and another stylist says âwe want you to be happy with your resultsâ I ask âwhat is going on with my hair then?â Kylee told me because of something I have done to my hair in the past it caused my hair to melt when bleach was applied. I reply âI told you everything about my hair thatâs ever been done in the past 4 years and I asked you if I could lighten my hair back to blonde HEALTHILY âWell damage can always happen when you bleach you must have done something in the past to have your hair react like thisâ So now itâs my fault?? Okay... what about the CONSULTATION? I left with my hair barely highlighted and I payed for full color all over, with 3 EXTRA bowls of bleach at 20$ a pop, my bill was totaled at 192.68 BEFORE TIP. I had to sign papers before leaving and they stated â if I wasnât happy I could have one free corrective service performedâ and I fully planned to do that but then I realized that if they couldnât do what they said in the first place the second time when it was free theyâd probably do worse. On top of everything Shea Griessel who is an independent contractor there who does my sister in laws hair had the nerve to text my father in law and tell him âyour daughter in law Kristi fell asleep at the salon so I must be doing heroin or somethingâ no I was up all night doing homework because I am in college and I have a 11 month old daughter. These girls were so unprofessional...
Read morePlease Be Advised The salon is beautiful, however the stylist is not! I showed Ashley Gonzales with Be.YOU.tiful Ambitionâs by Ashley Gonzales a picture of what I wanted. She did not execute it to look like the picture. I was unsatisfied and reached out to her. After many texts and a very unprofessional, argumentative attitude received from her, I asked for a refund. I was told SHE DOES NOT DO REFUNDS. After telling me she didnât want me as a client and having an unprofessional attitude with me, she told me she would fix my hair free of charge. Iâm not sure about anyone else, but the last person I want touching my hair is someone that can talk to me and treat me that way. Imagine what would happen to my hair. Now, I have to go to another salon, after paying a couple hundred dollars with her, just to get it fixed. If anyone would like to see before and after pictures, please reach out to me, Iâm happy to share!
Side note, I have worked in the service industry and worked as my own boss. I would have never talked to or treated a client or customer the way she me. Unbelievable
When I said I was going to leave a review, this is the response I received:
âUnfortunately I am my own business owner I am not associated with Blush in any way shape or form. I run my own business and am my own boss. I just rent a station there. So bad review is not going to do anything. Like I said I will adjust it at no charge. I already offerd that.â
So I guess she feels that reviews donât effect her business.
I left a review on her Facebook page. I have one person leave a comment that it looks like nothing I asked for... and then the post disappeared to me. So she either blocked me, deleted her page, or...
Read moreDO NOT GO TO ASHLEY!! I used to go to her at a previous salon & she normally did a great job. However, I went to her for the first time at Blush Salon, and my experience was awful. I showed her multiple pictures of what I wanted (blonde highlights and a few inches cut off for a medium length bob). While she was doing my color, she was preoccupied with another client she was doing at the same time. She left my color on way too long bc she was tending to another client.
My color was really bad- very dark roots and it looked way more brown than blonde. What was even worse was my pitiful haircut. She started cutting and towards the end says, âWell I hope you like it short because it actually turned out as more of a pixie cutâ. It was literally to my chin. I was horrified. It was also incredibly uneven. I was sick to my stomach and in a panic to get out of there ASAP. Later I decided to message Ashley on Facebook to tell her I was unhappy with it. I asked for a partial refund, and she blew up on me like Iâve never experienced before. She was so unprofessional. She typed in all caps and was very rude and sarcastic and hateful. I had to block her.
This was back in July of 2018. It is currently March 2019. It took me this long to gather the courage to write this. My new hairdresser I went to after Ashley said she couldnât believe how uneven Ashley got it. It has finally grown out, but I was devastated for months over what Ashley did and how she handled the situation. I am writing this to warn other girls of my experience. I donât want anyone to go through this!!
wish I could rate this place a zero star...
