Super disappointed in our service and experience today. Our party of 4 arrived at 5:30 and were the only people in the whole entire bowling alley. I asked for one lane, 4 pairs of shoes, and told the man behind the counter that we needed the bumpers put up on our bowling lane. He looked at me and said very rudely "we don't put up bumpers for adults!". I replied with "you don't put numbers up for adults?" he said "no! we don't put bumpers up for adults!"..... one member of our party has special needs and requires the bumpers. So I asked the man "well do you put up the bumpers up for people with special needs?" he replied that indeed they do and called out over the intercom for someone to put the bumpers up for our lane. We all get our shoes, put them on, pick out bowling balls, type our names in, use the restroom. Guess what. No bumpers. Remember,,, we are LITERALLY the only customers in the place!!! No one else! I returned to the front dest where a woman was now the only one behind the counter. I said that our bumpers were not put up yet, and she got on the intercom AGAIN for someone to put up the bumpers. Now, why is it that they even had to get on the intercom, I don't know, because we are the only people there and they very easily could have walked down to our lane to help us. But they couldn't be bothered with ACTUALLY HAVING TO WORK. After several more minutes, a young guy comes and puts the bumpers up for us. We thank him. Our party bowled two games, and the lane messed up several times each game, not clearing/resetting pins, incorrect scoring, could not delete players. The whole experience was a total thumbs down. I will not return after todays experience. It cost $35 to bowl two games and be treated rudely. There are plenty of other bowling alleys to go to. We love Frontier Lanes, and the staff there has always been accommodating to our needs while providing great customer service. I recommend that the staff of Harvest Lanes learn some customer service and learn not to judge a book by its cover! The way our situation was handled was completely insensitive to a member in our party. Absolutely no...
Read moreMy review will begin with the positives. The lot and building, along with the restrooms were clean. This is a big plus as many game type businesses do not keep up on the cleanliness of their facilities and grounds as well as they should. Especially, for some reason, their bathrooms, they tend to make me want to find a bush and some leaves and just pretend I am a member of the Ingalls family, but Harvest Lanes restrooms were clean.
Now for my negative. I ordered cheese fries with BBQ sauce. 20+ minutes pass and my order had yet to arrive. I went to the counter and asked the blonde counter associate behind the counter, who had taken my order, where my fries were. She informed me that an order of chicken wings had been placed before my fries and that cooking time took 20 minutes. She informed me it would about more 10 minutes and she'd bring them to our lane. 15 minutes pass and the bowlers I am with are packing up their balls and I have yet to receive my crunchy, cheesy fries, with BBQ sauce. So I again approach the counter and inquire where my fries were and am, in a not so customer service friendly tone, informed by a girl with, I think green hair, that they were brought to me. I tell her I never recieved them. Both counter associates stare at me. I again ask where my fries are and the green haired girl says, in a snippy tone, they were taken to your table. Even my friend agreed, the fries never graced our tables. All I recieved in response was, what are you wanting?" I surmised that arguing over some stupid cheese fries was not worth the effort nor time and snapped back, "just have a nice day."
So not only was I out the cost of the cheese fries, but the more than $2 tip. Having worked the food industry, depending upon service, I tip well. So I am out not only the cost of the food, but the tip for terrible service as well. Add to that, the annoyance of the counter associates who did not seem to care that my order was either never filled or was delivered to a...
Read moreAbsolutely insane experience at check out tonight after a good night of bowling, whoever the woman on register was needs a huge reality check. When my husband was confused by a question he was asked, he was met with an eye roll and mumbling. I spoke up and told the woman, “he was obviously confused by the question and the attitude is completely unnecessary.” I was asked to repeat it, so I did. I was banned for saying this. There is absolutely no reason to give an extreme amount of attitude to paying customers, and then BAN them. My husband was SILENT during this encounter after he felt SHAMED by the cashier, and was also banned. My husband is NOT neurotypical (he has autism), and sometimes questions do not register correctly, so why was he banned ? Seems a little too much like discrimination to me considering he was nothing but polite and courteous despite the treatment he received. I refuse to ever speak positively about this business who treats their customers this way and I refuse to allow someone to treat a neurodivergent loved one this way. I have been in retail management my entire working career and would be fired on the spot for treating customers this way. Please go...
