Redbirds Sports Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Saint Peters

This was our first time at Redbirds. We had been given a $25 gift card so we thought we'd check it out. The atmosphere is a bit underwhelming. It's a basic sports bar with a lot of t.v.s, a few video games but with rather uninspired decor. The menu seems somewhat uninspired as well with basic appetizers, burgers and sandwiches yet not much else. The menu said that their happy hour included $4 appetizers but when we inquired as to which ones, we were told that it was an old menu from an old location and there were no specials on food during happy hour. I'm not sure how long they've been at the location we went to but they've been their as long as we have which is over two years as of May 2013.

We ordered potato skins to begin with and I was quite surprised to see what I refer to as"nuclear cheese" (you know, the kind of cheese that you pump out of the spigot onto your nachos at the gas station) instead of real melted cheese on them. Then came our burgers and fries which were quite good, though again, quite uninspired.

If you are looking for a cool place to hang out and drink that you won't feel bad about having a few holes in your shirt then I would say that Redbirds would be a good fit. The staff and patrons seem friendly and laid back and the drink prices are reasonable. If however, you're looking for quality food with a good atmosphere, then you might be happier even heading to your local Buffalo Wild Wings than Redbirds- at least they don't use nuclear cheese...

Went here last night to watch the UFC fight with a party of 4 and we WERE regulars. We brought our own food and they said it’s not allowed (which I understand) so we ate it outside. However, the issue began when she ID’d us. We ALL pulled out our IDs and handed it to a blonde lady who’s mid 40s. After handing her our ID, we’re all legal and above 21, I simply said “We’re not getting drinks we’re just here for the fight tonight”. She then quickly fired back with “I need everybody’s IDs, or you can’t be in the building” - As she’s literally holding 3/4 IDs pending the 4th. I said okay, that’s fine, here’s our ID and she continuously says everyone needs to be 21. I pointed to my ID showing her we’re 21 and she said “I need everybody’s”. Keep in mind, it didn’t seem like she was listening at all and mistook me saying that I’m not getting a drink with being under 21 as she’s holding my ID? And we have been here before and have been ID’d by this same lady in the past. She handed us back our IDs and walked away. Anyways, after she humiliated my party of adults, we promptly left as she displayed a 10/10 level of incompetence and listening skills all because she was busy. Will not...

I'll start by saying the service here was amazing and our server was very friendly and bubbly. We were there during a blues playoff game and she went above and beyond to make sure we had full drinks and didn't need anything. The place was packed, but we had full drinks the entire time and never had to flag her down. She was there before we needed her. It is great for watching sports events. The mixed drinks were strong and the prices were ok. The food was average bar food, not exceptional but good for eating while drinking and watching a sports event. We...
