DON'T BUY JEWELRY OR TRY TO SELL GOLD HERE. SCAMMER ALERT. I would give zero Stars if I could. I brought a gold class ring that weighed 9.6 grams I had my ring examined by a different jeweler and he told me that the glass weighed 1/2 a gram. This place told me they'll pay 80% of spot price over the phone and then changed the price when I got there. On top of that the jeweler guy in the back tried to say that the stone weighed 1.5 g. I went all the way there because they lied about the price they said they pay 80% spot for gold and then they were trying to scam me with the weight of the gold and said it was 7.1 grams it was 9.6 When I asked them to show me the weight he said oh it's 9.1 that the man in the back told him to take off 1.5 grams for the small piece of glass. Still lying about the weight again. He was pretending he was taking off 1/2 g because I said a jeweler told me the weight. trying to give me roughly the amount of money for 6.5 g I had the stone popped and sold it a day later with the stone and actually weighed 9.6 g total 9.38 when they popped the stone. So they lied a second time trying to say it was 9.1 and said he was taking off 1.5 for the stone but that's still equals 7.6 I got $125 more then the $320 they offered. The place I went to the next day popped the piece of glass and it weighed 2/10 of a gram (not 1 and a 1/2 grams like this place said) and gold went down a dollar and change. This place tried to scam me on the weight of the gold three different ways. LIED about the total weight of the Ring two times and lied about the weight of the Stone once. They were trying to rip me off for over $120 on 80% of actual gold price. Any reputable dealer pays 80% of the spot price and If you want to get 80% of spot value the value of gold ? Call around and ask you'll get it. Just like I did and beware of scammers like these people!! I can imagine what they do to their actual jewelry customers claiming diamond clarity for gold weight of a necklace. These people lied about the actual weight of the ring 2X and then on top of it was lying about the actual weight of the Stone or a piece of glass that was in the ring. Jewelers get 100% of spot value selling their gold when you get 80% for it they're making 20% so if you sell $500 worth of gold at 80% spot they make $100 these people want to add another 30% by scamming...

Good evening, this message comes to those of you who need a trusted competent and caring Jeweler. Today, I took my senior Mother into the Gold and Diamond Center located in our beloved North East Shopping Center on 38th Avenue North in St. Petersburg Florida. A smiling and beautiful young lady named Vivian met us with her Father who is the Owner. I lifted my Mom’s hand to show her our dilemma. Years of love kept my Mother’s Wedding bands on her hand. However, arthritis, not a friend to anyone had enlarged her knuckles making it impossible to remove the three rings. Lovingly and with utmost respect and compassion for my Mom, Vivian’s Great Uncle, and Grandfather cut the three rings off my Mother’s tender finger. You see, she has worn those rings since she was 19 years old. She is now 85. The Family jewelers encouraged her to wait at least a month to resize her rings. “Let your finger and hand rest. We will resize them when you are better”. If you have a loved one that is wearing heirloom jewelry, don’t take for granted that your loved one can take their rings off in an emergency. I have nothing but great things to say about The Gold & Diamond Center in St. Pete. I came to them in the early spring to get details about doing a custom engagement ring for my long time girlfriend (now fiancée). Kevin was unbelievably helpful, kind, trustworthy and knowledgeable. Given how nervous I was about the entire proces, Kevin and the rest of the team provided excellent reassurance throughout it. Just after a few visits with him he knew exactly what I wanted and we had a gorgeous diamond picked out that was within my price range. The band for the ring was custom made by the team and from start to finish the process was made easy. They had a rendering drawn up within a week and once I confirmed that everything looked perfect the rings was ready just a short time after. The ring ended up being absolutely perfect and what I envisioned it to be. My fiancée is in love with it and we are so happy with how everything turned out.
