ELS St.Petersburg is a perfect place to learn English and experience all the good things of Florida. Teachers and staff members care a lot about their students. It is located inside the Eckerd College campus. This campus is just amazing. It has a beach area, gym, pool, volleyball courts, basketball court, Starbucks. You can go kayaking. The library is a beautiful quiet place where you can use the printers, computer or just relax while reading a good book with a breathtaking view. They make sure to have a lot of activities for students during the month in order to learn about holidays (Valentine's day, Easter, 4th of July, cinco The mayo, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc) and American history and culture. This activities include visiting restaurants, museums and the best of all amusements parks such a Disney, Busch Gardens. Etc. I am very glad and thankful for this institute. My niece did the program this year and It was a life changing experince for her, she lived with me during that time. I was the one that contacted Eckerd College in St Pete, from the begining Andres the ELS coordinator was my point of contact not only because he speaks Spanish, but from the begining he was willing to help with anything we need. He made the whole experiance easy in many ways, and while she was at Eckerd he was always available to help her when need it. With Andres you know your kids are in good hands he treats everybody with respect and does everthing he can to make them fill at home. My experience with ELS was incredible. I learned how to communicate in English and how to speak more conveniently. ELS has experienced employees and amazing teachers that correct, support and motivate their students to learn more. The best part of my experience was being able to know a lot of new cultures and people of different countries. It helped my English and my confidence to grow leading to a better learning. However ELS helped in my development as an English student, the grade system was the foolish part of it. The way ELS chose to grade their students was imprecise.
