Our first time here and they were only offering take out. Dining room was closed due to Covid. When I walked in, I was not greeted, the cashier who took my order was rude and impatient. I’ve never ordered Kung fu tea before and was interested in how to order, what came with it, but she was so rude. I asked if the drink I was wanting to order came with boba and she rudely replied that “THEY ALL COME WITH BOBA!” (I didn’t know. I’ve never had it before.) I started asking about which drink was popular since I’ve never tried it—and she just gave me a rude look. So I just ordered the ramen. I ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen and I have to say, I’ve had better. The broth lacked flavor. It was definitely creamy, but that was about it. There was no pork flavor or depth. The bamboo shoots must have been fermented, which I didn’t care for. The ramen egg was not how I expected it. Instead of the traditional ramen egg where it’s dark on the outside and a soft yolk on the inside, the egg was obviously just boiled, cut in half and then soaked in soy sauce. So the yolk soaked up all the soy sauce. A good ramen egg is something I always look forward to in a bowl of ramen! This was disappointing. For $12+ tip for 1 bowl of noodles, I’d expect something a little bit better, more effort and flavor. I would not order...
Read moreCame here at 7:30 on a Thursday and the place was empty. It's hidden in a plaza with a publix, and I never knew it existed until the other day when driving by.
We were immediately greeted and the ordering was very simple with an option for apple pay! Our server was friendly and no complaints about service whatsoever.
We ordered a large peach oolong tea with milk cap on it which came out to over $6, so customizations and our drink was fairly expensive.
I, as well as my girlfriend, both believed the drink was fairly bland. I understand that it was oolong tea but i couldn't taste any peach except in the odd chunks that were in the drink. The texture of the chunks was not very desirable/flavorful in my opinion, compared to other drinks i've had.
Furthermore, the milk cap was a dollar to add and had ZERO flavor in my opinion. I've had milk cap at other establishments and they added some kind of taste, but this was a similar texture to whip cream but no flavor at all. I personally would recommend to anyone: DO NOT buy the milk cap, total waste of $1.
Overall experience, I don't foresee myself coming back to this establishment, although it was only one drink it was not very flavorful and i was definitely disappointed...
Read moreThe teas are fantastic. Haven't had a bad tea and the boba are fresh and soft with every drink. If this was just a tea shop I would give 5 stars, but I've tried the ramen on a few different occasions hoping that maybe it was just a bad day and have been disappointed each time.
The main issue is the broth. It tastes like a bowl of milk with very little pork flavor. I've tried Mega Pork, Black Garlic Ramen, and Spicy Tonkotsu, and the only one that didn't make me feel sick after eating was the spicy one because it masked the awful broth flavor.
I haven't tried any of the hibachi menu items, but for a ramen place to serve subpar ramen, that really takes the winds out of it's sails for me.
Update 6/24: I tried the hibachi chicken and beef - both were very good. I'm still keeping it as a 3-star review though because its named for ramen and that's the worst menu...
