I finally stopped into this place as I was hesitant after hearing that all of the products were frozen as I rarely purchase frozen items. Man, I am happy I did because most of the food that we’ve tasted so far has been tasty, a couple hiccups(don’t buy the precut cubed chicken, imo) but overall a great place to shop for frozen produce(yucca, au gratin potato puff thing are the best!), perfect sized herbs that seem to last forever, fresh wild caught seafood, meats of all cuts, desserts, almost ready meals and dry spices as well. Prices are clearly labeled w/ weight, then you have to figure out how much it’ll be, keep you on your toes while shopping, haha.    Read moreI got very excited when I heard that an exotic meat market was coming to St. Pete on 4th St. I was extremely disappointed once I got to check it out. Honestly, it's nothing but a glorified freezer section. There is no fresh meat in the store, no meat counter with a butcher to provide personalized cuts of meat, and everything is frozen.
Granted they do have a very wide variety of meat to choose from. Of the meats we've purchased there and tried, it's about 50/50 on the quality and taste. Go across the street to The Fresh Market.    Read moreI didn't realize everything here was frozen till I went. So its basically like a big freezer section of a grocery store. Purchased salmon and mahi from here a few week's ago. The mahi was ok and edible but I wouldn't go back for more. The salmon was definitely not good at all. Horrible fishy smell and taste. No its not supposed to have a pungent fishy smell or taste unless its bad. Anyway, that bag went in the trash. Do not recommend as it seems to be hit or miss. I'll stick to fresh seafood and not frozen. The quality is just never that good once...
