Pacific Counter - Northeast St. Pete — Restaurant in Saint Petersburg

Had the most delightful experience at this restaurant today thanks to an exceptionally patient and friendly gal named Emma. I had not been in before, was confused on the options. She very kindly walked me through the menu and explained the various sauces they have and what the most popular items were. I didn’t feel rushed or like I was being annoying. Thank goodness I missed the afternoon crowd but I have confidence that Emma would have still be as kind and composed even if it was super busy.

The food was amazing and I want one of everything!! I brought home a bowl for my hubby and he inhaled it and promptly demanded to be told when and how we can acquire more. Simply wait till tomorrow I said with a smile. Oh yes this is going to be our new favorite spot, I can sense it.

As far as parking, it’s a little annoying as the plaza is busy BUT there is a hidden parking lot on the side of the plaza that is usually not too busy. I prefer this location because I can’t handle how busy downtown is. If you know you know.

I stopped by for a quick bite and ended up having one of the most heartwarming food experiences in a while. I ordered a poke bowl and a spam musubi—comfort food that always reminds me of home. The ingredients in the poke were fresh, well-balanced, and full of flavor.

What really made the visit special was the conversation I had with one of the workers. Though they were from Tampa Bay, we instantly connected when I mentioned I’m from Hawai‘i. That small moment of shared aloha made the meal even more meaningful. They even suggested a special sauce pairing with the spam musubi—subtle, savory, and absolutely spot-on.

It’s no secret that I already love PC - so I’ve been waiting for this location to open!!!! We finally went yesterday. I got a sushi roll … I told myself I was going to eat half then save the other half. But it was so good that I devoured it all. Spicy tuna, Krab, edamame, cucumbers, avocado, masago, garlic crunch and shallots! I mixed two sauces that I dipped my burrito in: chili aioli (my all time fave) and citrus ponzu. My daughter had just eaten; we’d normally order one of her favorites: a hot dog or spam musubi… but she had dole whip instead and was thrilled 🤩 !

As with every PC , service was awesome, food is super fresh, and you don’t break the bank. Love the new location - can’t wait...
