Crystal Earth — Local services in Saint Simons

The reason I am giving this shop one star is not because it isn’t ecstatically beautiful but because they sincerely do not care about customer service. I was visiting Saint Simons - an incredible beautiful area and we found this shop - there aren’t very many- because I wanted to buy a new singing bowl. I asked the guy behind the counter if he knew what note each bowl played- what tone and hertz - and he literally said “they aren’t that sophisticated”... like what? The bowls aren’t sophisticated? Was he trying to say it would be like buying a toy piano instead of a Steinway? I started playing all the bowls and while they certainly weren’t heavy brass Tibetan bowls, they certainly each carried a tone. However, just like a piano requires a practiced player to play a decent sounding piece, any bowl needs a practiced player to hold a consistent tone. When I told him they did indeed hold various tones, he scoffed and turned his attention elsewhere. It was clear he didn’t care if we spent money in his store or ever came back - which of course we won’t. I’d be too afraid that the crystals had absorbed his self-centered, apathetic , indifferent energy. I’m pretty sure the whole point is to be a light, not an arrogant a-hole. Hope the owner doesn’t care if he sends away customers with a horrible taste in...

I went into this store with my daughter and a friend. My daughter was looking for a special box and some crystals because a very close friend had passed away. The young man at the counter first told us that masks were required, which we readily complied with. I asked him a question about a stone and he abruptly answered me. He then stood with his arms crossed and stared at our friend, who was standing on the other side of the small store, literally throwing negative energy out of every pore. I asked another question And the young man again answered briefly, when I asked to see the stone, he showed me, never taking his eyes off our friend. Our friend asked him if there was a problem, because he was being stared at so much...the employee became very rude and told him he was welcome to leave the store. My daughter asked who the store owner was and she was told it was none of her business and she could also leave. She told him that he was exuding a lot of negative energy and she did not want to make her purchases in a place where the employee had such a bad attitude because any purchase would have meant she was bringing negativity...

Love love love this store!! The ladies were very knowledgeable & friendly. One of the ladies even sat on the floor with my 7yo daughter & let her feel the energy in a few crystals. My daughter has ADHD & anxiety & she just bubbled over with glee in this store. Her eyes lit up as soon as we hit the front walk. By the time we left she was picking crystals up holding them to the light & trying to buy out the store. Lol. These ladies were so patient & kind with my daughter it bowled me over. You have gained 2 life long customers with us. This was our 1st time in & we live roughly an hour away. We will DEFINITELY be back. I mean with the great prices they have on things, it is definitely worth the trip. Namaste...
