Moved to Salem SE in June 2017 from Honolulu, HI. Shipped some household items in furniture, kitchen, personal goods. But after all of this movement our home was still bare and needed upgrading. I'm retired, wife has cancer, so spending for brand-new whatever other than a bed was not considered. Commercial St seemed logical choice for us to search around for places to shop. Which brought us to Aunt Bee's to "explore" this magical business with many rooms with different themes, ie; bedroom, vintage, clothing, furniture, among large assortment of vendors who display and price their particular specialty of goods using Aunt Bee's as their "store". We purchased many items over the years since and thank the staff there for friendliness, assistance, and keeping us posted on events that would be upcoming in their location. The quality of merchandise offered superb with hutches, cabinets that looked brand new; vintage stock took us back into some Oregon history; point being, that we got stuff for several areas in our home, whether used on floor or hung on walls. We always recommend Aunt Bee's to friends/family when they visit and want gifts to take home. Bargains and...
Read moreLove! Love! Love This place! I live in California but have a very sweet sister-in-law that lives in Salem. For the last 3 years we have spent Thanksgiving together. Joy (SIL) introduces me to Aunt Bees two years ago. It is such a fun huge shop. Something for everyone. When we visited this year Joy had found a Christmas pattern dish set she was collecting and bought some plates. She mentioned that she was going to talk to her husband regarding the bowls she wanted. I took a picture of the plate the plate and on the drive home I called Aunt Bees and talked with Sandy (I think the owner) told her I was trying to get these bowl for my SIL as a surprise. Sandy went into action. First she texted me pictures and pricing of what she had. I picked the bowls and a platter. The best part was, In order for Joy to get them I needed to ship them but Sandy said “Oh No shipping would be to much. I will deliver them myself” My SIL was overwhelming by the gift but even more so by the extra special delivery. Love! Love! Love Aunt...
Read moreWe enjoy a few minutes to wander through Aunt Bee's House here in South Salem. Two points worth sharing. First, the entire store and display booths are orderly and clean. A few similar businesses require a pocket full of tissues to suppress sneezing. I believe the ladies running Aunt Bee's have a firm agreement with sellers to organize and keep booths well organized and cleaned. If a thrift or used goods store can be described as decorative and fashionable = Aunt Bee's House is the place to go. Secondly, after years casually wondering through thrift stores it's always been a distraction to have a staff person 'tailing' this old guy to make sure the old fella isn't secreting a lamp shade under his jacket or pocketing a jack-knife. I've not found the staff at Aunt Bee's to be singularly focused on customers as possible 'sticky-fingered' petty thieves. If you're looking for an unusual gift for someone, take time to visit Aunt...
