With the difficult circumstances we are forced to face during this pandemic, small businesses have been hit especially hard. Being fortunate enough to have the ability to be working from home, I was looking to upgrade my home office. I spoke with Jake about purchasing a Herman Miller Aeron & he happily took the time to answer any and all questions/concerns that I had over buying a refurbished chair. He was extremely knowledgeable and friendly and eased any of the apprehension that I had.
A week later I was able to complete a curbside, no-contact pick up of my chair from Joe to ensure that there would be no risk to the health & safety of either one of us. Joe then hopped on the phone and walked me through all of the features of the chair to ensure I was comfortable and happy with the purchase before I drove off.
The chair is immaculate. It came with new casters, new piston & new arm pads. You could not even tell that this chair is used. I essentially got a brand new chair at a fraction of the cost.
I've always been for supporting small, family-owned businesses (especially in times like these) & these two guys absolutely deserve it. They stand behind their products & this experience has shown me that they truly value their customers. Thank you both Jake & Joe!
UPDATE - My wife & I returned to Joe's in Oct 2020 in hopes of upgrading her office this time around. Again, Jake's helpfulness and product knowledge shined as he rattled off everything there was to know about each chair that my wife was considering. This is one of the few cases where they truly go above and beyond in terms of service, price and selection. As an independent design professional with a home office studio, I honestly cannot imagine ever going to another furniture store again.
Before I actually paid them a visit (it was just under an hour away from my location) I sent them a quick email regarding what I was looking for (a drafting-style chair, which is taller than the usual kind) and in less than an hour they responded, letting me know they were out of stock for the next few days in that style. This obviously saved me from making an extra trip and so I said I'd come a few days later after a new shipment was scheduled.
Then on the day I was scheduled to come in, they made sure to have every drafting chair they had available all lined up for me, making my selection about as easy as possible. The buying process was completely smooth, and Jake who helped me out was thoroughly knowledgeable about each item. The showroom feature a whole range of designer and high-end office furniture pieces; a huge step up from anything you'd see at Staples or Office Depot, or even Jordan's for that matter.
The chair I selected was technically "used" but I think was actually just a floor model from a larger store as it was literally in pristine condition. Not a scratch on it from top to bottom, it was definitely a higher end chair in terms of design and materials. In any case, the price tag was $275 which was much lower than I'd planned on spending. Jake was extremely friendly to us and took great care in showing us all the different features on chairs I showed interest in and he gave his genuine opinion and experiences with some of them as well, which helped me come to a conclusive decision. He set everything up for me to the exact measurements, and double checked to make sure that there would never be a problem after my purchase. He even offered to help load the chair into our car to make sure we got it home safely.
The furniture selection they have is insane, they actually have some things in the store that arent listed on their site, but even on their site they have a ton of things at really good prices.
With how willing they were to go the extra mile for me to make sure i was satisfied, how they provided such a friendly atmosphere, and their large selection of furniture, I would 100% recommend anyone looking for office furniture or just something nice for their home to check this place out.
(I should also mention as an update, i ran into a small issue with my chair later on, and Joe and his team sorted everything out for me, ordered the replacement parts, and fixed it, all for FREE.
