America’s Stonehenge is a unique and mysterious historical site located in Derry, NH. The site will leave with more questions than answers. After seeing the indoor museum, which consists of different artifacts from the historical site, you will take the nature trail outdoors and see the stone chambers, walls, and monoliths. An app is provided for a detailed tour of the site and there are also guided tours available. The walking here is easy to moderate. As you go along the path the sites are labeled and it is easy to find information about the significance of each piece of the site. When you get to walking the outer rock wall, some of the trail is a little hard to follow and could have better signage, but it’s not difficult. The trail ends when you reach Alpacas at the end. So what is so mysterious about this place? Since its discovery there have been all sorts of theories as to who built them. Some thought the Pattee family, who lived on the property in the 18 and 19th century, built them. But upon closer inspection evidence was found that the structures are thousands of years old. All sorts of theories are out there as to who built them including the Native Americans, Irish monks, Phoenicians, or Gaelic peoples. Perhaps, it’s a combination of all of these or others who knows? Some of the more interesting structures include the “Watch House.” It appears as a stone chamber, but on the equinoxes the large quartzite stone in the interior is illuminated. The Oracle Chamber is another structure with interesting features and a pre-colonial background. On the “Astronomical Trail” there are many stones that are solar aligned. Of these the “Summer Solstice Stone” is the most interesting because it not only aligns with the Summer Solstice sunrise, but is also aligned with Stonehenge in England. It’s not often that you can tour a unique archaeological and historical site such as this. Take the tour and see what you think. It's better to buy tickets online because it saves money. It’s an interesting and memorable place to visit.

America's Stonehenge has a lot to take in. A remarkable amount of history has been discovered here. And there is undoubtedly more to be uncovered. Check out the America's Stonehenge website before taking the tour. Once you receive your Tour Guide Map at the Visitor Center, it is worthwhile to watch the introductory video before leaving for the site. In addition, the Tour Guide Map has a QR code for a mobile app that provides a comprehensive guided tour of the site. I found this to be worthwhile. America's Stonehenge delivers an enjoyable and educational experience. It is well worth the visit.

Worth a visit. The audio guide it great to help guide you around, the path is very uneven and steep so good footwear needed and less suitable for toddlers unless being worn. Not suitable for strollers or wheelchairs. Lots of parking and restrooms available, Would be great to have a few more things for kids on the way round like questions or quizzes or having to count the number of something to make it more engaging for them. Alpacas there too but you can’t do anything with them, being able to buy food or even walk them for a fee would be an amazing addition.

I feel this is one of the best kept secrets in NH. I never heard about it until my 30s. My husband and I went and when you get started you see a cute tomb like structure and take a bunch of pictures thinking it cant get any better than that......well BAM huge massive structures EVERYWHERE. I love how you can line up the cleared paths with certain rocks and lunar/solar lineage.

Today my daughter had her birthday and I am really happy with the service, our hostess Angelina was AMAZING, very friendly, patient and ease to work with. The Manager Suzy also very nice to us, and the whole time (John, Azriel, Adan) I am very satisfied, all my guests loved the place and all of them had a lots of fun. 10/10 for this and specially the time!!! Don't bring your children here. Poor organization everywhere, dirty computers, sterilization they may not know, inexperienced receptionists, they don't care about anything but your money. This is the first and last time for me, even if it is free. Please believe me
