Hobby Lobby — Local services in Salinas

Very sneaky and act like your a criminal as they continue to have so called secret shoppers act like they are a customer and buying things but they just follow you around holding 1 or 2 items and watch your every move when you are just there to spend money and check out all the new different items and ideas your thinking of doing and find out what your wanting to do or try and are just reading the discripation on items but when you look up there is the same person that has been supposedly shopping yet seems to be every isle you are at and seem to have only a couple items in hand and seem to be different items just about every other time they seem to be right there staring at you or acting like they are talking on the phone yet you can tell it's nobody on the phone and they are pretending just to try to be not me made but they happen to have the same people that do this and when you send the kind of money I spend at places like this on a regular basis from running my own business and do a lot of DIY jobs and have to get supplies all the time you happen to remember the people that was being so weird and creepyish when they following you and all because your being stereotyped by these employees and businesses and make you feel very disrespected and violated and sometimes feel threatened by their body language and the way they present themselves and it's very unprofessional especially when you have never giving any concerns to think of being a suspect or thief and have been there to many times and spent thousands of dollars there and never once been in trouble or stolen anything or even acted suspicious ither then spending time looking at times and reading the description on the items package or while checking other things up about something your interested in and use your phone to do some quick research and stand in the same spot for several minutes and then walk more or whatever that is it so why do you people seem to be so disrespectful and be a creeper ans stalk my every move in a store when I have spent thousands of dollars there probably even just a couple days prior to that day and still get treated like a criminal it's not just here but at just about all the bigger stores like Walmart or even sometimes home Depot or Lowe's and or like AutoZone or Ace hardware or maybe say Michaels craft store or places like this seem to all do the same stereotyping of people that have tattoos or wear slightly baggy clothes or have on a hat and or walk around with their phone in hand and texting someone about something they needed to get or forgot or asking if someone may need anything yet they look at you like your trying to steal stuff from them and the following around until your out the store and sometimes they even follow you all the way to your vehicle to just see what your driving or even take your license plate number down which is totally illegal when you have not committed any crimes and or even been questioning me or anything but they still take down your information trying to be sneaky about it at the same time like they can't be noticed being a creeper ans stalkers it's so ridiculous it makes me not want to ever shop there again but we have no other options other then online but if you like me when I need something and or want to buy something I want it right then and don't want to wait for it to be delivered and stuff so it is not right and should be done something about and needs to be brought to the attention of others to stand up together and help each other to get something...

All the shelves were unorganized the staff were very inattentive and rude, but the thing I’ve hated the most is the way most of these employees are completely racist. I was with some of my friends (who weren’t colored people) and we were talking and walking around and nobody said anything until my friends left and I was walking around and two employees had followed me around the store the whole time I was there. Another time it happened was when I went to Hobby Lobby with my cousins (none of us are light skinned, we are all Mexicans) and mind you as soon as we entered the store most of the employees turned to look at us and looked at us until we were out of their sight. The worst part is where we were looking at the paints and we were talking (and I don’t know if it was a manager since he wasn’t wearing a blue vest but he was a bald white man but he definitely worked there) and he came up to us and straight up told us to not take anything and we should be careful since they’re watching, we said nothing and we politely told him we wouldn’t do that, since we don’t do that sort of stuff, then later on as we were walking around I noticed him following us around the store in a fast pace and I noticed before my cousins did and when they also noticed they got really uncomfortable to the point we had to leave.

I would definitely look into the bald white man probably a manger.

If I could I would give this specific location a zero rating but other wise I felt uncomfortable and I felt the need to post some of my experiences since I have not seen any reviews talking about the ridiculous things going on, and if this happened to anyone else please share your experiences to help get these types of people out of the stores and not make KIDS uncomfortable just because of their skin and race witch they have no...

I must say today was a very sad day for me as I went to Hobby lobby in Salinas for the very first time in my life, and when I walked into the store, I was so excited about the great prices they had And was excited to start buying things to decorate my children’s rooms with however it all turns sour when I soon realized That my boyfriend and I were being followed by all the employees of the store Which then made us very uncomfortable to continue looking around the store. then we noticed one of the employees sign language to another employee to keep an eye on us of some sort and then we really got angry and then they really got curious and started to follow us around even more when we walked out of the store. We voiced our opinion about how disgusted we are with the employees and how they made us feel and how their store was just a horrible place to shop at. They asked us to leave and to never come back!
