Nu2U Again Resale Shop — Local services in Saline

Nope.

I needed sweat pants for my kids. Nothing was priced. I didn’t find sweatpants, but I found a pair of adidas joggers that weren’t ripped. They were a little stained on the stripes, but for play pants who cares. I found a sign after looking for a bit… on an endcap, above eye level. The pants should have either been $3 or $4. I get to the register and she states that it’s a boutique brand. Keep in mind, I’ve gotten brand new adidas track pants for under $10 at TJMaxx that weren’t stained…. She said they would be $5. I said fine, then she tells me there’s a charge to use credit cards. That’s when I left… empty handed. I was annoyed. I came to Saline from Dexter to check out the store and to not have things priced or lots of clear signage and then to have pricing higher than the signage states, AND charge to use a credit card? Just nope. Waste of time,...

Nu2U is a great little thrift store in Saline operated by the Washtenaw Christian Academy. It is generally clean and organized, much more so than most other thrift stores we visit. I don't know why, but it seems I can never leave there empty handed, which happens often at most other stores like it. Perhaps they are more selective about what they display, as generally anything I look at there is in good shape and has all the parts. Their selection of clothing is nicely displayed and appear to be newer than at other thrift stores. They also tend to have a wide assortment of Craft supplies, much to my wife's pleasure. I've often seen furniture pieces there that looked like good value, had I needed them, and they always have lots of picture frames, books., and kitchenware. Staff are always pleasant and helpful and the store is always fun to go through....

I’ve been consistently shopping here for the last few years and it’s been one of my favorite thrift shops in the area. They have a wonderful selection and it is beautifully maintained. However, as a previous reviewer noted, it’s been disappointing to see the prices increase so dramatically in the last couple of months. Some of the items are priced higher than you would see at an antique store, on EBay, or Etsy - and at least 2-3x higher than the same item was priced six months ago. I’m more than happy to pay a fair price, but it is discouraging to see items priced out of budget for many...
