This place itself was cool but The reason why I’m giving the place 2 stars is because we are a family of 6 and we were just going out for my daughter’s birthday to play and then go out to eat. He said we can celebrate there for $120 & we get the private party room & my 3 kids and husband can play games. (I had to stay with my 10 month old baby) when we arrived he charged us $160. That was already a little weird. But if he said we get a private area why not right?Well…we got the private area. NOTHING WAS INCLUDED. No decorations. No food. Just the room…with 2 tables…not even with table clothes or even 1 birthday sign. the kids did play games. The owner told us we should order pizza from the pizza shop he promotes right next to him. So now, on top of paying $160 for the room that I thought would at least come with a birthday sign…we have to pay for the pizza which came up to $30….& my husband had to go get it himself as well nobody brought it to us like he said they would. He did get a little gift but when he bought it and gave it to us he told us there’s no profit being made now because he bought that gift……And not to mention the ENTIRE TIME we were there…HE KEPT TELLING US TO TIP THIS EMPLOYEE THAT NEVER EVEN CHECKED UP ON US. Every single hr he would tell us to give her money. Even while my husband and I were at a machine he would stop us and tell us to TIP this lady…She greeted us & she checked once if we needed anything. After that she walked around with windex and..that’s it. as he kept badgering us pretty much THE ENTIRE TIME my husband confronted him because it truly was super annoying & uncomfortable, he did not like that and he walked away mid conversation. Being a business owner & coming from family who own local businesses I thought it was super unprofessional and very uncomfortable to say the least. My children did have fun playing the games. They ate pizza so I was happy about their experience. (Kids don’t know any better) but from an adults perspective I was super upset of how I payed that much for the bare minimum. When I could’ve just payed $40 for 2 adults & go out to eat somewhere else...

My son and I went here. He is a big gamer growing up in the PS4/PS5 era, so places like the Pinball Museum in Vegas was only about 45 min of fun for him. We were at Back to the Arcade for 2 hours and he really enjoyed it. I showed him how to follow the prompts pinball games give you (vs. just trying smacking the ball over and over) and he really liked it.

They have all the best games - Double Dragon, Galaga, Pacman, NBA Jam, Simpsons, House of the Dead, air hockey, Big Buck Hunting, and many more. Some more modern games too, including a racing game and Big Buck hunting were fun. My only complaint is the Jurassic Park is the only game that cost $$ and one of the racing pedals was not working, but pretty much every place I've been had the same issue.

The owners were super nice. People complain about the cost ($20 for adults, 15 for

Back to the Arcade in South Mall, Allentown, Pennsylvania, is an absolute treasure for anyone looking to relive the golden days of arcade gaming. From the moment you step inside, you’re transported back to an era where pixels and joysticks ruled the world.

The selection of games is incredible, featuring a perfect mix of classic arcade hits and pinball machines that are impeccably maintained. Whether you’re a fan of Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, or the vibrant lights and sounds of pinball, there’s something here for everyone.

The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with friendly staff who are passionate about gaming and always ready to help. The décor perfectly captures the retro vibe, making it a fantastic spot for both kids and adults alike.

What sets Back to the Arcade apart is the genuine love for the arcade culture that permeates every corner of the place. It’s not just a business; it’s a homage to a beloved pastime. Prices are reasonable, and they offer great deals, making it easy to spend hours immersed in fun without breaking the bank.

In a world where gaming is increasingly digital and isolated, Back to the Arcade brings people together for a shared experience that is both nostalgic and timeless. If you’re in the Allentown area, do yourself a favor and drop by you...
