To their credit they did give me a refund, not to their credit after trying to have a screen repaired here i had to buy a whole NEW phone. On July 3, 2024, we brought my wife's iPhone 13 to your store because the front camera had a halo effect (the camera and Face ID were functional). Josh, the worker, recommended a screen replacement and installed the last screen available. The new screen had a haze, a large black border, and did not fit around the notch properly. We expressed our concerns about paying $200 for a faulty product and were told they needed to order a replacement.
Upon returning, Josh replaced the screen again, but it still had a large black border and he struggled with the installation, even needing assistance with basic tasks like turning off the flashlight. Despite these issues, the camera's performance worsened. We requested to revert to the original screen and a refund, but the owner saw no problem. Eventually, he reluctantly issued a refund and attempted to reinstall my wife's original screen.
During this process, we witnessed Josh struggling to clip the screen properly, resulting in a crunching sound and cracking the LCD screen. On our way home, screws fell out of the phone due to improper reassembly. Upon inspecting the phone, we found a thick, visible heat burn line around the interior perimeter, suggesting that instead of applying new glue, Josh reheated the original glue out of anger or incompetence. This caused internal damage, melting the chips and the plastic housing of the camera, which explained the earlier crunching noise.
What began as a visit for a minor camera issue ended with a shattered LCD screen, a worsened camera, and melted internal components, necessitating the purchase of an entirely new phone due to the damage caused. Not only that but when my husband went to get the receipt for the refund, Josh thought we left the store and said to Mr Knox “this is what I had to deal with all morning”. NOT TO RESET MY PHONE AND TOTALLY ERASE MY ENTIRE PHONE AND LOSE EVERYTHING!! Been locked out of my phone ever since 12:30pm today!! Contacted Apple due to this major issue and was told after running a diagnostics and analytics test on my phone that it is a part for my screen NOT THE MOTHERBOARD which I was told after all this. Both the owner and employee suggested I just get a new phone entirely. Well, basically got a new one that’s for sure! Starting all over from scratch! Even DEACTIVATED the phone entirely. It was a total nightmare and still is. I called up there and spoke to the young man who was working on my phone for approx an hour or more and told him what apple said and he still suggested get a new phone and did not care in the least…… first time ever I went to a repair shop and LAST!
