I placed an order over the phone with a man that didn't seem to be paying much attention or seemed very busy but I thought he was at least writing down my order, he didn't even ask for a name for the order but this has been the case at other Casa Grande locations as well, but they at least got my order right. I gave him my name hoping he just forgot to ask and he said it would be ready in 15 minutes. My fiance went to pick up the food. When he got to restaurant to pick up food he gave them my name but they just kept asking what the order was, as in every item in the order. My fiance did not know the exact name of the burrito dish I ordered, only that I did order a burrito dish and tried to give them the name once again. The order or my name was obviously not written down as they didn't know what I ordered and since my fiance didn't know exactly which dish I ordered, I suspect they gave us a burrito dish at random. It was not the dish I ordered and not a dish I wanted, nor did they prepare his dish with certain items on the side as I asked when placing the order. I am left to assume the person that took my order tried to memorize it instead of writing it down as I don't see how the entire order could have been prepared in the five minutes he waited after telling them what the general order was instead of giving the name and receiving the correct order. I gave 3 stars as the food was good, but if a restaurant is going to take to go orders then they should write down the actual order and get a name to identify the order correctly. They only gave one container of salsa and it was very small. I have never had this problem with the Casa Grande in Concord or Kannapolis. (Tl;Dr - if you are going to place a to go order, ask for a read back of your order and double check it before you leave to make sure it...
Read moreWe came here for lunch because a lot of our friends recommended this Mexican restaurant and we read the good reviews this place has on Google. Perhaps they had a bad day when we came in, but the reviews were misleading.
To start off, when entering the building it took 10 minutes for the staff to acknowledge that we were there. There wasn’t a hello, a welcome or anything else. But we were hungry so we didn’t mind it - maybe they were just extra busy to say hi to guests.
We got our table and ordered our drinks and said give us a moment to look over the menu. 15 minutes later the lady comes back to take our order. Another 20 minutes later we got our food.
The loaded fries were warm at best, dry, with a sprinkle of cheese. Same thing with the fries in the meal my wife ordered. The chicken the got was so dry, hard, it was like stale, old, hard chewed up gum. It wasn’t edible. The rice in both of our meals had 0 flavor, 0 juice - it was also dry. Dry and flavorless. Finally, did my best to make the steak in my meal taste like something more than uncooked meat. But after a couple bites we ended up leaving.
To finish off with the best for last. The end of the night and all of the next day my wife had food poisoning. Of course I can’t prove it was because of our experience here - but most likely was with the food we were given.
$62 to walk out hungry and leave the food we bought on their table. Waiter didn’t even ask if everything was okay as she didn’t come around...
Read moreExcellent margaritas. Order a double on a rocks and you will be very happy. They are extremely potent! But like the other reviews on hear the service is terrible. I was here at 8:30 p.m. and there was two girls as hostesses / cashiers. There were four staff members sitting at the table next to me folding napkins. The only one who was on the ball was the bus boy who brought me my chips and salsa. He's the only one that truly deserved a tip as she was constantly working. Waitress never asked me how everything was and never came back ir offered anything else or desert or more beverages... it was up to me to flag people down.
How do today make Tips here??? I always tip 25percent. 12%here....Although the Margaritas were potent if you order a short one on the rocks with two shots. Pastor tacos....tortillas were crumbly, pastor had too many chunks of unchewable fat. The only thing they really have going for them is there close to the hotel and people are tired and don't feel like walking across the street foreign driving for eating a Wendy's hamburger. So what they have going for them is there location so they can get away with murder cuz they have constantly new customers. If they had to rely on repeat customers, I'm sure people would go on down the road you can get a good margarita anywhere. In any Mexican restaurant that offers a ground beef taco gets a pass. I can get that at Taco Bell...
