Lupita Mexican Restaurant Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Salisbury

This is going to sound hideous to some customers. I give this restaurant a one star not because I received a bad service or for the cleanness of the place. I give it a one star for the food. I understand this restaurant caters to the different demographics here in Salisbury and around cities, but they need to take into consideration that the food they serve it’s not nearly authentic nor enough for the price you pay. I ordered to take out a Cocktail Campechano (Large), California Burrito and order of Asada tacos. Total for the order was $55.61 plus tip total was $63.00, only to ended up with a Cocktail of tomato juice with some avocado, onion and literally four or five small shrimps, maybe some octopus in it. I was confused as if it was a tomato chunk or a piece of octopus. The asada tacos had way too much fat on it, same for the burrito as it was filled out with same asada meat. Food trucks give you way better meal for less than what I ended up paying at this restaurant. My advise take it or leave it, it’s entirely up to you. I’m trying to save you money here. I’m not speaking lies. As a person coming from California, I know exactly what a California burritos looks like. These at Mazatlan are not it. There is no photos attached to this review because I did not think on posting a review last night, but after what I had for dinner it made me wonder that I should it had. We arrived about 3:30 pm on Sunday afternoon. We ordered our beverage. When she brought our drinks, I had ordered unsweetened tea but, was served sweet tea that had a sour taste to it. Then the waitress stood there while I was deciding what to order, I felt rushed. When the food arrived I had ordered carne asada med well, but it was well done. My husband ordered his well done but got my med well. Yes, we could've switched plates but, the waitress should have noted that and served them correctly. Then beans were not good, they tasted old like they were almost bad. For what we got and the price I was expecting much better. I will not go back....

First time here and it was pretty good. The service was great, friendly staff. The chips and salsa were great. The main dish I had, Chicken and Rice (ACP basically), however, was a bit disappointing. It is my go-to for first impressions as it is one of my favorite meals. I rate the dish a 3/5, but I did not hate it. It was also decently sized.
