What a dump. I remember when this mall was open and it was the talk of the town. This place is dead!!!!!!!!!!
Looks like they are doing some major renovations where Belks use to be but can't tell what, there are no signs announcing anything.
Was looking for a veteran center but there were no signs. Thought the place was completely closed until I saw someone go in so I walked in to check it out.
Walked by the county elections board office which looked brand new but closed. Found the veterans center I was looking for but it was so small (and well used) but didn't look like they had any services just a place to relax and play pool which many were doing. I didn't enter. Cool used a sign by entrance to say they were inside, I almost didn't make it inside. The place looked abandoned.
One store open that was over packed with clothes. Woman said she bought storage lockers. Super packed and I did find a couple things. One or two stores looked like they store the city's Christmas decorations and costumes.
All the bathrooms were closed. Babcock furniture store on opposite end but they appeared closed too. Only place I found open worth visiting was the outdoor Dollar Tree.
Place seemed clean but neglected. No food vendors. No...
Read moreI only rated this a three because it's an entire mall that is completely shut down with the exception of five places. A Bath and Body Works, a consignment shop, a bookstore that's only open once a month, a Badcocks furniture store, and the board of elections, I think. Both of the bathrooms, at least on the end where the five places are, are out of order. And all of the glass that makes up the entryway where you walk in is always filthy. The only reason I go here is because it's the only Bath and Body Works within a reasonable distance of where I live. And I really love the consignment shop because they have racks of clothes out every day that are only 50 cents to a dollar. Plus, the bookstore has a rack out in front that has free books that I periodically go through. So I guess for a shopping experience it's not so bad but as far as it being clean or convenient,...
Read moreWent to the gun show and I was completely blown away with the atmosphere as well as the selection!!! There were many people there with love in the air and guns on the tables. A southern backwoods country boy like myself loves nothin more then the exhilarating burst of adrenaline that comes after you've exploded a milk jug with an AR 15 from 70 yards out or better. My buddy bought a Mac 11 with a muzzle on it and I was a little more intrigued with a couple blades that were there. If you're into fire power, keep on the lookout for the next show at the old Salisbury Mall. I hope to see...
