Tom's Discount Store - EVERYTHING YOU NEED — Local services in Salisbury

I have been a loyal Toms shopper for many, many years but things have changed for the worse. I understand that prices are rising across the board and it is hard for some businesses, but some of the prices here are outrageous for a so-called "discount" store. I have compared to other stores like Walmart and Dollar Tree etc. and Toms prices are always higher. It really does make me sad as I have loved this store for so long. The nail in the coffin for me was my visit last week, I stepped inside to grab a shopping cart and noticed nothing inside, only soaking wet ones from the rain outside. I asked the clerk if there were any dry ones inside and was promptly told no, that is all the carts we have. I didn't even bother shopping, got in my car and left. Really disappointed in the store now. We would go there a few times when we were on vacation and once when we left. Used to look forward getting some stuff there. There was a lot of unique stuff and the prices were on the cheaper side. Don't know what happened? I think they changed owners. Prices are high I get everything is going up but can get it cheaper other places. And there is hardly anything unique there anymore. And hardly anything on the shelves. I have been going to Tom's for about 12 years We moved from Rowley to Peabody a year ago, and can't get there as often. It has been a couple of months since my last visit. I came up today, to get craft supplies to fill a craft basket for a Christmas for needy kids, event and was very disappointed to find very few 99 cents items. I have made such gift baskets every year for our church fair, and could make a great one, for about $25 Not this time, I bought a few things for myself, and a couple of "kit" type things, but it was not worth driving so far I might have had better luck at...
