Ran in to grab a few minor holiday items and a very sweet girl -Gracie I think was very helpful and friendly both while I was shopping and checking out. Sadly I can’t give a 5 star review - not because of Gracie (she was great) but because of the less than professional way the manager spoke to her and dealt with a prior customer complaint in front of a line of customers checking out. The manager approached Gracie while she had a line of customers and berated her for a bad review given by a disgruntled customer a few days prior. Instead of waiting until she was done with customers (there were two of us in line), she made a point of going through the whole scenario and criticizing her while she was very busy doing her job. I feel the manager could have easily waited until we were checked out and talked with her privately as it was obviously embarrassing to the young woman. The other elderly woman in line with me also was raving about how helpful Gracie had been to her the day prior so I don’t think my experience was isolated…. I’d suggest some management training on the right time, place and use of words for constructive criticism and not belittling . The other big issue is the rampant theft happening in this store. In the 15 minutes I was there, I watched two women come in with reusable shopping bags, casually but carefully load them up with expensive items like laundry detergent, make a few circles around the aisles and then leave without paying. I literally watched one of them walk 20 yards over to the old Kitty’s building next door and start unloading her wares to show her friends!! I’d also suggest adding some security folks or having the manager help monitor the theft issue since the young cashier was busy helping customers (me) while the manager was busy talking sports with some guy at the photo counter…. I normally keep my opinions to myself but felt I had to speak up in this case. Best of luck on getting/keeping good help and the obvious issues...
Read moreAs a new client using the pharmacy for her child, I am very disappointed with the service I received. The pharmacy tech was white, I assume, middle aged. She had long brownish hair, but her roots and face showed a little age. She has a HUGE chip on her shoulder and from what I could gather it was because someone else was able to access a script on the first time when she had tried numerous times. In between the 2 ladies bickering, there was a charming, younger black pharmacy tech attempting to keep piece. She had a natural hairstyle with rodded spirals. I apologize, I was so upset, I didn't read badges. I waited almost 25 minutes for my child's medications. The middle-aged woman went from one area to another, back to the computer, back to the same medication basket, then to the fridge..., over and over while huffing and puffing the whole time about the other woman who was able to find whatever on the system that she couldn't. Finally, we the charming, younger woman assisted Ms. Chip on her Shoulder, my child's medications were found. Unfortunately, it wasn't what I thought I had discussed with his provider, but I chose to walk away and I will call the specialty provider on Monday. I knew if I asked anything to Ms. Chip on her shoulder, I would have matched her tone which was truly negative. She did not welcome me, nor did she ask if I needed to speak with the pharmacist, or end with a simple thank you. As a active duty military family member using a retail shop for the first time to provide the medications for my chronically ill child, I am extremely disappointed in the experience. Extremely! Cameras should be pulled and actions reviewed of the above described. Ms. Chip on her Shoulder should not be servicing patrons if she...
Read moreI know that federal/state gov. are causing the economy to be doing poorly and pharmacies in the area closing puts more pressure on this pharmacy with the influx of customers. Employees are probably burned out.
Still the service is beyond terrible. I should first say that many people need medication in order to function and withdrawal symptoms put them at risk. Many medication refills cannot be given until an intended date(where you are getting close to running out)- state law. Delays risk someone going without medication. Communication is terrible. If you call then you'll be put on hold but even after waiting a while you may just have them end the phone call or have a message stating that there are currently issues and then it ends the call.
Even if you are told your medication is ready- you'll end up waiting 20 min to an hour.
Additionally, its not common protocol in the robocall or in general to tell customers that you can check the Wallgreens website to see if your prescription is ready. This comepletely shows that their systems of efficiency are bad and need to improve upon this. It will prevent your time and the customer's time from being wasted. Again I understand the employees are overworked and stressed- but so is everyone else. You're making it harder on others especially those with disabilities who have to struggle harder to keep up in a society that is fundamentally broken. Show...
