Checkers — Restaurant in Salisbury

Well when we first got there we needed a moment to look over the menu because we were down on vacation and Checkers isn't an option where we live so we didn't know what to get. Well the guy tells us to let him know when we're ready, and we did....about twenty times. He disappeared from the mic all together for about 10min! We knew he was there because he greeted us when we first pulled up so we waited for him to answer us. After placing our order we then waited ANOTHER 15min give or take, for our food. Once we got back to the hotel and sat down to eat I couldn't even enjoy the food I had ordered. I got some fancy sounding chicken BBQ sandwich they had and it was so overcooked, it was rock hard, I couldn't even bite into it and it didn't even look like it had half of the toppings it was supposed to. It wasn't edible and went straight into the trash so I didn't get to eat, the burgers we got were ok from what I was told and the fries were delicious!... Night shift staff need some serious training on communication and customer service. I drove up to the drive thru on June 8th after 10 pm and specifically ordered chili cheese fries and told them to please make my fries fresh. I had to come back because they had my order wrong and gave me the loaded fries with ranch and bacon which I didn’t want and plus my fries weren’t fresh like I asked. One guy told me if I want fresh fries, I need to go and park. Which was fine but I didn’t like his tone when he said that. I waited about ten minutes before they brought my food. I checked it before leaving and I was DISGUSTED with how they made my fries. Mind you, this was supposed to be Chili cheese fries and the whole thing smelt and looked burnt and I did not see any chili, it looked like burnt old grease they just scraped on the cheese. Today, I tried the Checkers crispy chicken sandwich for the first time. It was on a promotional coupon where you buy a large drink and get a free sandwich.

When pulling the sandwich out of the bag, I noticed that it was very heavy for a chicken sandwich. Most fast food restaurants with a drive thru give small chicken sandwiches these days. I opened up the wrapper and the sandwich looked freshly fried. It was thinner than I expected but still acceptable. I also noticed that it was a large sandwich (which is probably why it was heavy). To add to it, the lettuce was fresh as was the sauce. I bit into it and the taste was magnificent! The chicken was hot, juicy, and fresh!

Overall, this sandwich was superb! I am struggling to finish eating it as it is so fullfiling. If I went back and wanted another sandwich like this, I would definitely pay for it. It is not expensive and beats the taste, size, and appearance of the...
