Upon entering you are greeted with lots of biodiversity; beautiful flowers, shrubs and greenery. Walk through the door and there is a fish tank (albeit needs some cleaning) and it smells delightful. The dining room is spacious and well kept. Although I didn’t look around too much it looked nice upon first entering. I ordered take out and it took 15 to 20 minutes just as expected. The order was nicely packed up and secure for transport. The containers weren’t labeled so it makes it a bit difficult to differentiate for first timers but as soon as you tasted and looked at the meat you could tell (I recommend labeling to make things easier). The Pho was really tasty and all the ingredients were fresh and recently washed as if they were picked from a garden prior to serving. There was plenty of food for leftovers and they are easily reheatable in microwaveable containers. At first it is a bit difficult to prep for eating so I would recommend setting aside the broth and then placing the noodles, bean sprouts and basil in the container and pouring the broth over it for a delightful experience. We also ordered the crispy spring rolls which were tasty but overcooked and a little burnt as if the chef had forgotten about them. 2, 3" rolls for $4 not a terrible price point but not great. The Pho was fairly priced especially for the amount given and the flavor. Also big letdown that they did not have Bahn Mi… a Vietnamese staple and hopefully they add it to their menu. I imagine it would be very very tasty especially with the fresh ingredients. I will be revisiting when I have a craving for pho and hopefully get myself a Bahn Mi...
Read moreI'll preface this by saying the food is good and we used to love this place. However, the last few times we've gone to the restaurant we've noticed that the total price (before tax) comes out to more than it should according to the prices in the menus. An item will be $12 and change and the man running the restaurant will charge $13~14 and change instead. We just went again today and the price was only about a dollar off this time but when we went to leave our tip, we only left two dollars because we have been upset with him overcharging us and have been lowering our tips. He stopped us and demanded we tip five dollars, claiming that Biden has raised his taxes and so we have to pay him more. I argued that if his cost went up, he needs to raise his prices (and show the correct prices on the menu) and that tips are not mandatory and he can't force customers to pay tips. He argued back but we couldn't make sense of what he was saying and see just raised the tip and left, we were done arguing over it. We won't be going back...
Read moreThe best pho. Period. I'm hooked. BUT only 3 stars because the portions of meat in the pho are not adaquate or consistent for the price. For example: Tonight I only had three dainty slices of meat, like they forgot to add it. I was kinda bummed out. They don't give you much meat to begin with. They just seem to slack your pho when you order take out. Beware. I really wish this wasn't so!! I love Viet Taste.
Dropped it to two Stars in light of a recent visit in mid March 2017 I paid for extra meat, since I thought to give them another try. It came with no extra meat and no soft tendon, which it should have had. The kitchen staff is really slacking and the cook was smoking out front, wiped his nose and everything and didn't even wash his hands after coming back in and handling food... Like dude... Def not goin I have back been burned too many times. Totally heartbroken that I even have...
