Amazing spa! It has a very high-end feel that is unique for Utah. It is spotlessly clean, tastefully appointed, and truly a relaxing and healing atmosphere. The boutique also carries an impressive selection of unique local products at reasonable prices.

I was lucky to receive a Keep Calm & Carry On gift certificate, so I got to go in for an exfoliating treatment, massage, and facial. All of them were so well done. Steven and Annette were great, and made me feel comfortable and welcome. I was very happy with the products they used on me - smelled great, and made a big difference on my skin.

I've had good spa treatments before, but what I loved most about Basalt is all the small touches they incorporated into my day. The massage table they use has a little shelf beneath the face rest, and they placed scented basalt stones on it, which added a lovely aromatherapy component to the treatments. I had a brief wait between my massage and facial, and was treated to chocolates and a warm lavender neck wrap. Heaven! (I loved the neck wrap so much that I bought myself one from the boutique- highly recommend.) My facial took place on a table that allowed me to recline, rather than lay all the way down, and it was so much more comfortable and enjoyable. And, to my surprise, I got a postcard today, thanking me for my visit!

These ladies know how to run a spa - they are killing it. I will be back as soon as I possibly can.

My one small critique is parking isn't easy. Pretty crowded area and if there is dedicated spa parking, it wasn't marked, and was full anyway. Not enough to even take half a star off though - definitely a 5...

My boyfriend purchased a massage and facial package for my birthday at basalt. I am 28 years old and this was my first time getting either service so I was really excited and couldn’t stop thinking about it since we booked it a month ago. Both the massage and the facial were incredible, and the people who helped me were great. My only reason for leaving 4 stars was that I informed the receptionist, the massage therapist, and the esthetician that I had never been there before or gotten any of those services before but that I had received it as a gift from my partner. After my service the esthetician met me in the lobby to discuss skin care and then told me to have a good day. I assumed that meant I was okay to leave and I headed out. 5 minutes later I received a phone call informing me I “forgot to pay for my service.” I have never been more mortified. Nobody informed me that I was to pay at the front and my partner and I both assumed it was all set and ready to go when we booked. It was definitely on us for not paying attention while booking and assuming we had been charged but it was disappointing that of the 3 people who helped me with my service today not one informed me that I needed to pay and instead I was called and spoken to like a thief. A very relaxing and wonderful experience turned into me leaving in tears because I was so embarrassed. First time clients should definitely be given more guidance.
