Curriculum is a more than store. It is an experience and a community asset. I cannot fathom what the 9th and 9th district would be without Curriculum. I have been getting gifts for myself and others here for years. It is undoubtedly an SLC institution. I say Curriculum is everything a small business should be. The shop itself and the amazing people responsible for it’s awesome are the best our community has to offer. They treat all patrons of the store likes friends and family, whether it’s your first and last visit from out of town, or a place you regularly visit. I encourage everyone to visit curriculum for the experience. This is what shopping should be everywhere for anything. Walkable multi-functional neighborhood shop run by people that live in and love the community.

The barbers there are excellent at their craft, congenial, professional, and just generally fun to converse with.

They carry a wonderful assortment of high end grooming products from Kevin Murphy to Public Supply Co. They also have EDC items like pocket knives. There are also some really nice home goods, books (big books, TASCO books), and American Trench and Roto socks. They also carry DS&Durga Cologne, home cocktail/bar gear and bitters/flavorings. Porter Yoshida goods. The fragrances available are the best I’ve seen anywhere.

Super clean and the design / aesthetics of the interior are beautiful. I’d live in there if I could. Go here....

I went to Curriculum for the first time today with my family for haircuts for my husband and son. My husband had been a regular customer for the last 6 months and we had taken our son before.

But today will be our last visit.

As stated on their site:

My son was a little unsure today and took extra sensitive and I guess that was TOO MUCH for the customer next to us for the 5-10 min our appts overlapped.

He parent shamed my husband. Only CONLIN our barber was apologetic to his comments towards our family. And to come back when my son was 16. RUDE.

After our two appointments, we were then told BY THE OWNER that WE “were just too much” for their establishment.

I guess our bi-monthly business wasn’t good enough and we won’t be...
