Barbacoa Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Salt Lake City

I bought a 2 for 1 meal coupon through T-Mobile Tuesday BOGO deal for the 9th and 9th location in Salt lake and went to use it today. When I walked in, two of the employees were eating while 1 other employee waited on me. At the register, I showed her my coupon and she redeemed it. Then, she quickly called for one of the other employees that was eating. The lady told me, first, that the coupon was already used. I told her that the other lady just redeemed it. Then she told me that it was expired. I told her "no, it wasn't." Then, she said it was for a different location, and I politely said, " no, it's for the 9th and 9th location." Then, she said her manager said they can't accept those coupons. I explained to her that I just got them through T mobile Tuesday deal and by that point, she started speaking Spanish to her fellow co-workers. All 3 were staring at me and made me feel very uncomfortable and embarrassed as I could tell they were talking about me. They eventually honored the coupon, but not until after I made a phone call and waited for it least 15 minutes. I have never experienced this kind of poor customer service or rudeness from any business, and I will not go back. There is absolutely no reason to treat anyone like this. The older lady, who helped me, or lack thereof, literally dismissed me, and that should not be acceptable...

As told by a second grader! "Barbacoa is the best! Have you ever been to Barbacoa? It is the best in my opinion because when you walk in you can smell the smell of tacos and burritos. Also, when you walk in you can grab a menu and walk inside the line. Also, when you get in the line, it isn’t a big, big wait. When you are in the line, you can see them make your food. After that, you can walk over to where you sit. Where I saw was next to the window closest to the hi-way so when I eat I can see the cars go by. Also, when you get the cheese “cascadia” it tastes so good in my opinion. When you take a bite of it, it tastes really warm which means it is good. I love it! Another reason is when you look around you can see two pots of flowers and some pictures of peaches, also some soup. My dad went with me and he got the huge burrito. He said it was too big but he ate it anyway. I prefer the booth more because when you sit on it it is soft and squishy. Also, There is a fireplace which is warm. Also, the parking is good because it is next to a row of stores and they all share a big parking lot. Anyway, the sign is a symbol of fire. I personally like it because the people who make it are fast. Also, when you are walking over to eat there are comfy seats. Also the food is nice and warm. This is why barbacoa...

I placed on online order for a burrito with honey sweet pork with extra meat. But when I got my burrito, it had sweet pork and chicken in it.

I figured it was a simple mixup, so I went back to get the correct burrito.

The woman there argued with me saying there was no sweet pork, that I ordered chicken, she said a bunch of things that didn’t make sense about hot pork and sweet pork. All I wanted was a burrito with extra meat with just sweet pork. After much arguing, I got my burrito. But there’s no reason for it to have been so hard. It’s just a burrito. Extra meat. With the same kind of meat. Why is this hard? Just make a new burrito.

My issue is the really awful customer service in resolving this, how rude the woman was, and how when she remade the burrito, she was laughing and snickering with another employee while making it. The woman was a middle aged, short, Latina woman.
