If you're gonna work at a gallery, where you sell estate jewelry, you should probably know that sterling silver is not the same as silver. I walked in, and I asked if she had any sterling silver, and she looked at me and said, "yeah, here is the silver"
I stared at her for a minute because I thought she was honestly joking. I then proceeded to say " honey i'm looking for STERLING silver" She looked at me like I was an alien from a different planet.
She responded " it's the same thing"
As someone who has a geology degree on the side i was stunned, and I let her know that it most definitely isn't the same thing and she responded with " i don't know the difference" she was really attitudal 🤣
Just for the record, sterling silver is definitely NOT the same as silver, and if you are telling people that you sell sterling silver when it's silver, you should probably get fired and find a different job. I was there at 10:45 am on Saturday the 2nd of august 2025. Check the cameras because i'm pretty sure you will be entertained. Either way, you should probably get employees who know their gems and different minerals. This is completely false...
